In honor of Valentine’s Day, I cooked the family a real treat of a dinner (at least it was ok). Here’s the run down of my mad skills:
1. I started off with a salad of baby felid greens tossed with raspberries and feta cheese in a red wine vinaigrette. Nothing to snazzy but pretty good and so much better for you then cream dressings
2. The main dish was an herb crusted turkey breast. It turned out very nicely. The parsley, rosemary and thyme really gave it a nice flavor, which was important because I served it without any kind of gravy. It took forever to cook though!
3. As side items, I made smashed sweet potatoes, and through in some lime and butter. They were very tasty. It perfect amount of sweet. I also made a green bean sauté with lots of lemon and garlic. I liked it, but next time, less citrus and more garlic.
4. Finally, for dessert, we had peach sundaes with a peach chardonnay caramel sauce.
Go me!!!!!!! I feel all accomplished and stuff!
