So I went to see Wolverine in theatres just now (I got preview tickets, because I think Phil from c4 owes me!) and there are two thoughts prevalent in my head:
OMFG MY BOYFRIEND WADE :(

OMFG MY BOYFRIEND GAMBIT! =D

visually, this movie kicked ass; the opening sequence was gorgeous, the boy who played chibi!victor was hot and akljdklj THE TEAM OF EVIL, how so adorable.
lol at jimmy & victor at the beginning: "wake me up when it's over".
askdjlk WADE is awesome & hot and his SWORDS and CUTTING THE BULLET IN HALF and KAAKDSLJ ZERO WAS HOT. i love this team sfm, there had better be fic or comics or whatever, they are the shit. i'm a huge sucker for competence and that these guys are, though i am not so keen on the wholesale slaughter aspect. wolverine & planes, adorable.
WADE IN THE ELEVATOR, OH MY HEART. [lol everyone in the theatre CRACKED UP during that scene. it was PRECIOUS.] you are so gay, my darling, ♥

wolverine's girlfriend was um. apparently supposed to be native american? okay? sorry, i may have missed some comics canon here, but um, yeah. not really into her, sorry. though it is awfully hot when she and hugh jackman are making out. (also i totes love how she is totes a mirror for jean gray and logan recognizes the girl he used to love :()
AHAHA I LOVED THE OLD PEOPLE SFM. HE PEERED IN THERE WITH A SHOTGUN. "THERE'S A NAKED MAN IN THE BARN." "YOU'RE COLD BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT WEARING ANY CLOTHES." i was sad when they died, but also sad because i knew zero was fucked, because that's what happens when you piss logan off. zero was a bit stupid though lol, what with the 'let's provoke the seriously unhappy man into anger at defenseless me'.
i did not think dom monaghan would die so soon! he was so prominent in the credits i thought he'd stick around at least longer than gambit!

MY BOYFRIEND GAMBIT WAS HOT. oh taylor kitsch, you could not not be awesome if you tried. CARDS AKLJDSKLJ. STICK OF DOOM.
i kind of love the dynamic between logan & victor, okay, just getting that out there. it's awesome. though the way they change names all the time, that's a little disconcerting (what with the creeds and logans and jimmys and victors, that was weird). lovelovelove "i'm the only one who can kill you" and the EPIC BACKTOBACK during the finale.
i am going to just float a prediction: fandom's otp for this movie is totally gonna be logan/remy, y/y? they're supercute in that helicopter scene: "what, should i be checking the CLOUDS?" oh, boys.
i was making a sadface when they were experimenting on that weird floating body, but i absolutely knew nothing about deadpool prior to this movie so i didn't know it would be AWESOME SWORD DUDE from the beginning and now i want to cry. jesus christ, that pan up his body, when you see his stitched-shut mouth and his fucked-up eyes? SO TRAUMATIZING OMFG. [wolverine: "i see he got you to shut up" electrumqueen: -EPIC SADFACE-]
but um, yes. backtoback was HOT. scott was awesome, infinitely preferable to xmen!scott, though seriously, this raises some questions for the movie. how would scott not know that the dude who saved him was logan? -eyebrow-
OH MY DEADPOOL :( [though, okay, i maybe cracked up when his dismembered head was spinning and lasering the tower in a spiral. that was pretty funny.]
gambit was fucking hot, esp. at the end.
this movie really did not have a satisfying emotional payoff. :( it's just: let's fuck over wolverine for two hours. poor kayla, even despite SHITTY DEATHBED CHOICES, YOU COULD HAVE STOPPED ALL THE SHIT THAT EVERYONE GOES THROUGH IN MOVIE #2. [though i will admit: the parallelism makes me happy, and her punishment, had it been perpetual, would have been sufficiently horrible to make me happy.]
also, it was really not a good movie ^^
i enjoyed it very much, but movie!deadpool is the kind of character i am a sucker for, and taylor kitsch is hot. the plot was abysmal. ...though, i guess, in order to be abysmal it would have to have ever existed. the sfx were... not exactly brilliant. but i like squeeing okay. =]
IN CONCLUSION: DEADPOOL/GAMBIT OTP. I AM GOING TO WIKI DEADPOOL NOW K.
