And so begins the day of movement.

I've got three large boxes, one medium box for carrying peppers to market and a few bags filled. There is still the matter of the computer and printer and the remainder of my clothes and books, and other odd and ends. After this cup of black and maybe a piece of toast I will pick up a bag and the medium box for carrying peppers to market, (perhaps something more) and I will move on down to the bingo where I will catch the 18A and buy the best of travelling comodities, a day rider. From my seat on the 18A I will see the city of Leeds rewind as I plough forward from one outskirt to the other. I will no doubt be filled with more definite feelings about the time and situation. There is an unequivocal knowledge in the air of Flat 28, 1 Mill Street and that is the end.

Leah and Lisa are moving into their new house, Andy perhaps has also. Living with John has been the most solid learning curve and not always being around him will be very difficult to adapt to. But we aren't here to settle down, we are here to live and learn and experience, and that we have this year. Time for a new chapter. One that heavily involves a certain Clarke.

So as I raise my cup of black to nothing more than electricity, metal and plastic, I say 'Here's to Potter and Clarke, let the good times roll.'

Lord place rest on the soul of Syd Barrett
Give him a guitar, a pencil and a pad.
Amen.
