My father is getting help. He made some serious changes in the way he deals with things, and is even nicer to my brother. He is also getting in to the doctor's tomorrow to get that medication to deal with his insanely high blood sugar. My mom says he has even changed his method of dealing with the taunting he receives at work. I still have yet to see him. I am just not comfy yet. And I think I won't be over at my parents' again until Friday, and with my own car, while my dad is at work. I will just stop by to visit my mom. (who actually bought me a bracelet to replace the one destroyed by my flip-out during our car shopping thing) Anywhoo. I feel pretty okay. Like I am in charge, things are on my side, and I really do have the upper hand, to be able to take things at my own pace. I will not hold a grudge and hold back forgiveness when major changes are being made. But my forgiveness is pricey. Hey, whadda you expect? I'm not God. I'm Lisa, and Lisa was hurt and violated. It's gonna take a little time to get me feeling like things are truly new and improved. In the meantime, I've been working with Simone on her words, and reading a lot to her.
We spent Saturday at
Jeremy's dad's house, having lunch, discussing a move, bonding and babbling, then we picked up
Clark from work on the way home, and we went to Carl's babbled about our road trip and that sugar-skull of a boy had some guy at his work make us a GIANT Odin for our car!
Jer had mentioned to Clark, how he wanted to get one soon, and the sweetheart went right out and got us one! Thank you!
Then Sunday we went for Jamba Juice with
Chris and the lovely miss
Lenna, whom I cannot speak enough good of. I'm so happy for them both, and I swear it just keeps getting more wonderful to think about them! But the heat turned quite breezy and we weren't sure what to do there, so distracted and chilly, we left and came home to do stuff like clean and grocery shop.
Today I am a nursing machine! Simone has barely come unlatched at all, and she's very fussy. I really hope she's getting more teeth.
Okay, I have to steal away and find something cool to drink while she naps.
