so much to do, only 6 weeks (or 4 weeks or 8 weeks :P) to get it done in. i'm not in freak-out mode yet, but i did have a brief flash of panic the other day. it's normal, i know, but man - i have been on such overdrive and still in sort of this disbelief that this is happening, that i couldn't really see the end game. even with the childbirth classes!
but we have our last one of those tomorrow night. and saturday we're taking an infant care class which should be a nice refresher. after that though? we have very small things left to do before the baby comes. we're fairly well prepared, i have to say. the only things outstanding on a major level are:
-install car seat base
-pack bag
and really, that's it. some things it'd be great to do, but they're not really necessary. technically, neither is the bag for the hospital, but it's a little more than a nice to have ;P i've got the diaper bag packed post-shower, and we've got the nursery (which really, we probably won't even use for weeks after the baby comes) all done to a point. it still needs some decor - but functionally it's done. all that's received to date is washed and put away, etc. nesting is a beautiful, useful thing.
i've knitted a few things for the baby too, one hat that is finished, and one blanket that is not. i have an interim blanket in the car seat for coming home from the hospital, but i'd love to use the one i'm working on. it just might not be finished in time. looow priority :P
there are many other non-baby things going on, but my brain is mush and i will have to remember them later.
