so in the washington dc area, 9/11 is still a constant part of almost every day. (not that it isn't where you are, but i know that due to the proximity et al it's still very prevalent to hear/see things about it). i know that people grieve and deal with tragedy in different ways, but two things as of late struck me in rather poor taste, even though ( Read more... )

Indeed. I'm still stunned that he took that story about Hillary Clinton having an emotional moment and related that to 9/11. How do people not see through this?

I consider that logo a tasteless exploitation. I'm sure someone thinks it's cute, but that someone also needs to be euthanized.

Let's not forget the 9-11 cupcakes the grocery stores start selling in September. Maybe I'm weird, but I never really considered the anniversary of 9-11 as an occasion that needs to be marked with celebratory cupcakes.

It's like 9-11 + ??? = Profit!!!. I hate it.
