I THINK HE'D LOOK LIKE DELBERT 'SHORTY' BELTON
Old soldiers never die.
And are certainly never forgotten.
Rest in peace, Mr. Belton. You mattered.
A Makeshift Memorial for Delbert Belton - Murdered at 88 with his Boots On
It's tragic, and such a commentary on society today, that the flag this man, and so many brave men and women have sacrificed, fought, and often died to preserve, is no longer respected and revered by so many people in this country.
Which makes their love and devotion to family, friends and country so much more precious and our debt to them so great.
For Shorty now, we can't even say thank you. All we can do is lay him to rest, knowing he is in a better place, and pray for those he leaves behind.
