So, we had an open air church service yesterday - big one, all local churches together. Protestant, catholic, baptist, we even had a visit from the local muslim parish, even if they didn't participate. So, over a thousand people in the stadium, the choir sings, the priests and pastors were having a blast, all is well. Along comes the hymn "Geh aus ( Read more... )

I should have learned by now that reading anything on LJ at work is a BIG risk...good thing I face the window, because nobody saw the big grin splitting my face...anyone passing might have wondered why my shoulders were shaking though...

That pastor is quite awesome. I remember one time he illustrated a sermon with James Bond pictures. Luckily, we have more than one like that. When I have the urge to go to church, I actually check who is on duty...

Hahaha and that's WHY I don't go to church! Because things like that happen.

Okay so I gotta ask...where did your pastor get that shirt? Because our pastor would get a total kick out of it. (He's quoted Princess Bride in sermons before.)

I think it was self-made, printed in a t-shirt-shop or something. It was just plain white, and the letters were this fluffy velvet-y stuff. My guess is that it was a present from a church kid group. :-)
