I received my package from my Happy Mail partner
Courtney last night and I love it. It completely made my day!!! She really played on my love for green!
The print is my name written in binary which, honestly, I love to bits!!!!! Thank you, Courtney! I love all of it and I’m sure Oliver and Amelia will love the little goodies you packed for them as well (they’re both out of town this week).
Okay, moving along to something really dorky. I like stuffed animals. I don’t have a ton or anything, maybe 6 or 7. Everything I have was a gift from Joshua. Lately, he’s been trying really hard to win me an animal from one of those rip off cranes at the super market. Well! This past week he won me not one, but two little stuffies!
I named the seahorse Lucky and the turtle Kona (yes, after the brand of cotton fabric). I love them and just wanted to share them and say thanks Joshua!
Finally, my overwhelming desire to sew amidst my looming deadlines finally got the best of me. No, I’m not really sewing any major garments (though I do have two in progress…), but I am working on some quick and easy little things to put up in the shop.
Zipper pouches. Everyone loves zipper pouches, right? I’m always looking for ways to use my smaller pieces of fabric and this is a great way. It also allows me to use up some of my huge zipper stash (which is really just a ploy to have a reason to go buy more zippers, I won’t lie). I cut out the fabric and chose the zippers for 26 bags last night. I just need to cut the interfacing and the lining for each one and I’ll have a little stack of pouches to work on in between my craft swap project. You know, just a little sewing to tide me over for the next 2ish weeks until I go back into full swing sewing again for Summer Essentials and Self-Stitched September.
PS - Sorry for the crappy lighting in the pictures. We keep our house dark and the sun had already hit the hay by the time I took photos.
