Dream
I Had a good dream last night/this morning.
I was at a big Feri feast/gathering- big house,somewhere--(not one i know in real life)
-Smells of much cooking, baked apple(cinnamon/cardamom/butter), roast pork, cranberry/orange, garlic,onions, pumpkin---all good smells coming out of the kitchen.
Much laughter,camaraderie, flirtation, folks draped on the couch,sprawled on the floor--Much forthing-and-backing to the kitchen. Cuddling,chatting, pre-meal nibbling,chopping of more ingredients...
A wiener-dog boot-scraper is brought in to be a door-stop, so the kitchen door(a swinging door) will stay open, so conversation can be in both rooms at once--to keep the rooms connected.
There is the usual 'esoteric speculation' about the nature of the door stop.
OK, a "dog-with-blade-in-its-back" is it 'guarding the portal' or " Facilitating conversation between the worlds!", or, 'opening the gate'??
"Hey, a New Feri Tool!"---"Oh, wait! We could sell 'em on the internet!!"-
--"But what if we can't find old draw-knife blades? Would it still be legitimate, if it is just a draw-knife-Shaped piece of steel?",--"Is it a legitimate copy??"-- "Well, is it functional?"

I wake up, still with good smells in my mind, warmth in my heart...
OK, Who has the Weiner-dog boot-scraper? ---'Fess up! we are partying at Your house!!

But without the tribal feeling, without the laughter, and the good smells of cooking, the Community, there is no point to the thing at all. None of the tools are of much use, without the context----One Feri is no more a tribe, than one dog is a pack, we can live like that, but not be whole. ....and that is the part you can not sell.
