I leave tomorrow for California to teach at the week-long "Liberty, Art, and Culture" seminar at Chapman University for the Institute for Humane Studies. While I am gone, my email and 'Net access will be somewhat limited. I will try to stay abreast of things, and then catch up on any correspondence I've missed once I return home ( Read more... )

Seriously? Wow, small world! :) If I end up with a moment to myself, I'll email. If not this time around, it looks like I should be out there again soon - it would be fun to meet for coffee if it's convenient for you!

that would be great! I go out for coffee just about every evening at the HB mongo-starbucks to write and would love to rap! I am living at my mom's this summer so I have nightly babysitter. so honestly, if you have free time between 6 and 11pm I am free. I'm not nearly as scary as my fic. In fact, I'm downright normal...welll...defined loosely! :)

emma Phd Candidate! (yay!)

As it turned out, our days were fully scheduled until about 10:30pm each evening. (I am SO tired!) I'm terribly sorry I missed you! It looks very likely that we'll be out there again, however, so I hope next time we can plan on getting together before everything gets underway. I would love to get to visit face to face!

Thanks so much! I have three different sessions, one on the state of Native America (both current governmental policies and the renaissance of Native American art), one on why I am a cultural optimist (or, in other words, my critique of cultural pessimism both from the Right and the Left), and one on science fiction as political theory. I'm looking forward to it.
