Two and a half hour drive back home tonight, which wasn't deathly unbearable only because the boss let us go early. A boss that understands extenuating circumstances, like snowstorms. That's still hard for me to grasp.
Traffic is weird. Something about it makes everyone's ego go nuclear. Whenever traffic is bad there's always the exact same ranting, which, if you read between the lines, basically translates as "if everyone drove exactly like me there wouldn't be any traffic problems ever!" It's a little nutty, quite frankly. I mean, I know I'm not a perfect driver. No one is.
Not that I wasn't tired and annoyed when I got home, and not that I wasn't disappointed I had to abandon most of my evening plans. Oh hell no. But this too shall pass. Forget it Jake, it's winter.
I haven't been exercising, but I've certainly been shoveling a lot of snow. And honestly, it's a much better workout than the dinky crap I usually do. See? Positive thinking!
More futzing around with the puzzle. I'm in the endgame now. Puzzles are funny. I'll sit there for half an hour, find nothing, get up and do something else for an hour, sit back down, and find a dozen pieces just bang bang bang, like that. It's like my subconscious mind won't let the damn thing go.
