Beans

In ComedySportz on Monday, we learned those audience volunteer games. Y'know, those ones where they get a person up on stage, ask them about what their day was like or how they met their husband or something, and then we act it out. These games are strange to me. On one hand they're your basic four minute scene, on the other the entire plot and characterization are mapped out for you. It feels weird, kind of constrained and anti-climactic. Then again, I've never really gotten the whole audience volunteer thing in any show, improv or otherwise. I'm fine with the fourth wall permanently bolted into place. But everyone seems to love them, so I must be a cantankerous old eccentric crab.

Although while practicing it, Betsy (as a pretend audience volunteer) described her dad as being exactly like Mr. Bean, so I got to do a Mr. Bean impression for a whole scene. That was an indulgent bit of fun.

Fell asleep on the bus yesterday, so I missed my stop. I didn't put me in much of a frame of mind to do anything, so I microwaved some burritoes and watched the American Experience documentary on Las Vegas, instead of doing Important Things X, Y, and Z.

We had record highs on Friday, and today we have snow. Welcome to the Midwest's wonderful bipolar climate.
