The Bat - charges dismissed, mask returned

Who is up for a trip to The Castle this weekend to celebrate Batman's release by gently stroking his nipples?

They arrested Batman. I suppose this is more in character than deputizing him, but the "[y]ou have to wonder ... why someone would choose to conceal his face" and "don't worry about Halloween" quotes from Tampa police clearly indicate that the arrest was not made for any good reasons.
