Aw, these were good! I especially approve of the inclusion of Regulus and Percy, two of my oft-forgotten favourite characters.

Also, so you have any bits of that Star Trek fic you were apparently writing for me? :D

I actually do have that fic! But I though it would take to long to explain so I didn't post it. (I have LOTS of fic I didn't post - more stuff on Regulus, but nothing else on Percy)

WIPS FOR YOU:

The One Where The Enterprise is a Computer and Associated Paraphernalia

Captain Kirk, sat in the center of the bridge, connected to all his senior staff as he boldly explored new communities and civilizations.

"Mr. Spock!" Kirk cried out, "I need the files with the information on the new sites we are exploring."

"Unfortunately, these files are not yet digital, Captain. I cannot access them."

"Uhura!"

"Scanning now, sir. Uploading to Mr. Spock's station momentarily."

"Excellent, excellent. Chekov, how is our connection?"

"Excellent, Keptin."

"Sulu?"

"Punching it to site, sir!"

Kirk checked his external connections. "Bones!"

"Syncing is healthy and normal, Jim."

Armed with his team, Kirk explored the chosen site happily, absorbing data and sending it to Spock for storage, while McCoy grumbled and Uhura translated to digital and Sulu kept them connected.

Before they left, Scotty made sure to integrate information from his ship and stored it in hard copy, for future use.

Also, I feel like Vulcans wouldn't be that great at being a captain.

I love Helga! I feel like she was a very no-nonsense sort of awesome, while Godric was all "Look! Sword! Shiny!" and Rowena was off somewhere with her nose in a book, totally ignoring the real world.

And yes on the Vulcan captains. Not that Kirk's Gryffindor style of leadership is always the best either...

Kirk's is more malleable, though. Vulcans just stick to the letter of the law. Since Kirk can think outside the box, that allows him to seek out a third option and come up with something even better.

Oh, Kirk is defiantly better than Spock. But the captain should never be on the front lines, for example. Especially not with his second-in-command. That's just asking for trouble. (Makes for great TV, though.)
