Happy Endings for the First of August, 2011
1. Mickie likes summer band well enough to continue getting up early in the morning and going. (Her class starts at eight. I know, school will start that early, but it's still summer for her.)
2. After summer band, Mickie had a chocolate-glazed and I had a really good jalapeno-cheese roll from the donut place down the shopping center from the music store.
3. Andy made a demonstration of his photo retouching skills and took them to the photo place with his filled-out application. (He's good, y'all - took an 100-year-old picture of his grandma and fixed water damage.)
4. At least one of the middle school band directors in town took my number for her sax students that want lessons.
5. Congress decided to compromise, and a good compromise makes everyone mad (to quote the comic strip philosopher Calvin), but Gabby Giffords voted on it. One good thing about that mess...
6. Made potato salad for supper, caught up with BFJeff about things on Facebook chat, and now I'm planning an early bedtime so I can get up and run tomorrow. (Knees feeling semi-sorta-okay. Not bad enough to quit running.)
