Christmas Eve-Eve, also known as Festivus...
This is what awaits me tomorrow, on Christmas Eve Day:
- Laundry - actually getting it done
- Cleaning the kitchen so I can...
- Bake and cook*
- Clean the front room
- Wrap the last of the presents
- Get on Mickie to clean her room (so she can mess it up again with her new loot on Saturday)
Funny, I don't remember it being this much work when I was a kid...
*-Baking and cooking includes but is not limited to: cookies with Mickie, prepping two casseroles for baking on Saturday afternoon, putting the turkey breast in a marinade or brine, and getting stuff ready for Andy and I to enjoy with some wine by tree light in the evening (a favorite tradition of mine) after meeting with the Fam Damily.

Mickie stayed with Amanda the Human and her Heathen while I worked. I think it was good for her. She didn't hang on a computer or TV for hours on end. And I imagine it was good for Heathen, too - Mickie is a good, calming influence on him.
Had a helluva day at work. Usually it's long lulls between a few customers - today it was lots of customers with short breaks in between. Sold lots of stuff, though, including a drum set. Good times.
Then Mickie went to a birthday party at the skating rink while I ran about getting some last-minute things done.
I'm pooped.
Hopefully tomorrow will see a lot of stuff accomplished. And maybe some pictures of New Niece sent to my inbox.
