(no subject)

It is Sunday afternoon and I am totally unmotivated. I don't even feel guilted by my to do list or my massive # of unanswered emails, and my WIPs aren't knocking at my brain.

I've been watching Umbrella Academy with a friend, and finally on episode 8, managed to identify Rainbow Sun Francks (SGA's Lt. Ford) as the sidekick detective. He's so different! The character has glasses and a beard and is bald, though no idea if the actor shaved his head or is prematurely bald. I don't think I would ever have placed him if I hadn't read the IMDB cast listing. It's good to see him, even in a smallish role.

I'd started watching The Old Guard last weekend (or before?) but got interrupted, so finally finished that and once again had to resort to IMDB, 'cuz I'm... have I seen this bad guy? Yes, Dudley Dursley, all grown up, and menacing immortals. Pat Troughton's grandson, so I'm glad to see he's doing well too.

I watched a couple of the ComicCon panels this weekend, at the time they were first available. Which I know I didn't have to do, but it was nice, that feeling of Having an Appointment. I'm glad they were able to provide online content, as even pre-covid, I had no interest in those crowds and now don't know that I ever will.

I have no desire to do anything whatsoever. I'm feeling very burned out and tired of everything. But my niece and nephew want to come play on my devices, so I guess I'll try to figure out something to do.

Oh! My bunny thought for the day. I went to Home Depot this morning, relieved to see everyone wearing masks, and on my way, drove by two guys walking dogs. Clearly they were approaching each other, and one had stepped out into the street, so they could cross paths with the proper distance. Their dogs were lunging at each other. I'm not sure if the dogs wanted to attack or play, but clearly they could use a little more training, as the guys were having to pull them away from each other. And I thought, that could be a 'meet cute' in the pandemic, two guys working at home, but they take their dogs for walks and start crossing paths and their dogs really want to play. They start pausing for a bit, to let the dogs sniff each other. So they talk, and every day the talk gets a little longer...I didn't think of which OTP or what dogs they would have, because who really wants a fic set during the pandemic? I've already written one, that's probably good. But at least it was a semi-amusing thing in the back of my brain. Maybe the guys had fostered dogs when the shelters were shutting down in March, that's why the dogs aren't well trained, so if it hadn't been for the pandemic, they might have lived two blocks away from each other and never met, that would be a sweet outcome.
