It's Monday!
Today is Neil's day off. He has a doctor's appointment this afternoon, but otherwise, the day is ours. I think I shall make pancakes for breakfast, along with coffee (for Neil) and sausages.
Yesterday was an errand day after Neil got home from doing overtime. We hit Costco and the Food Co-op. We're thinking of joining the Food Co-op; we find ourselves going there somewhat often. We're weighing the pros and cons. They do have a lot of the natural/organic things I like to buy, and they're cheaper than Whole Foods.
Supper was pirosh, accompanied by broccoli. I found Yet Another food that Neil Does Not Want: buerre noire. He said it tasted "scorched." All the more for those of us who like it, I guess. Tonight, I'm baking a nice, juicy ham, which will be accompanied by some kind of vegetable (not broccoli) and a sherried cream sauce from a Swedish cookbook.
The weekend chores - mostly laundry - are finished, too, which is always a nice feeling.
