Good morning!

I'm up. I think I slept "wrong" on my neck. Oh yes, and bizarre dreams which I cannot precisely recall, but involve being at work, a former co-worker and standing about in my underwear.

Breakfast is a fruit smoothie (orange juice, Costco frozen berry mix, 2 pears and protein powder). Neil's lunch is made and awaits him.

Supper last night was... Well, the food was awful. No more going to that Mountain Mike's. The salad bar was too repulsive to even consider, and the pizza was mostly cold and lackluster. Neil and I came home and ate soup. On the other hand, a friend gave me an entire bag - almost thirty ounces - of dark green tweed wool (Ballybrae by Yarns Brunswick, in "Clan Tweed") and a pair of long Brittany needles in walnut. They don't make those anymore, and they sell on eBay for ghastly prices. I'm going to add them to my collection and cherish them for the treasures they are. The wool will become a sweater. My friend, alas, gave up on knitting. She said she never could master it. It's a pity, but I am the beneficiary, and I shall think of her every time I wear the new sweater (once it's made, that is). I am thinking a nice Aran design for this one. The wool is unscoured, which means it still contains the natural oils. It's a little scratchy, but that's no problem. A sweater of this sort is really meant to be worn on the outside.

Today looks to be quiet. Quiet is good.

Back to breakfast.
