The ugly shoes that everyone forgot about. I still love them - they are ridiculously comfortable and convenient. They make my back and knees happy. And they have new styles that are much less hideous, if no less plastic. Just to let people know what I'm doing lately - I just had my last class (!! of the degree!!) today, and I handed in my last paper yesterday. I spent the earlier part of today going over my thesis (not done yet, alas -_-) with a fine toothed comb.
