Welllll, I just finished it like five minutes ago AAAAAND.
1. Yes, I was upset that Jake imprinted. HOWEVER. It was the lesser of two evils (that he would imprint on a STRANGER).
2. Why in the world did Bella lose her feelings for Jake? That was stupid. We all know they still want each other. Bad. ; )
3. I know no one likes Bella in the first three books because she's just spine-lacking and fail-made, but I hated her so much in this book. She was...ugh. Ew. I just hated her. All the characters changed and got obnoxious but she was definitely the worst.
I'm still upset about the whole thing though. Because SMeyer is telling girls that it's okay to throw your life away for one thing. Yes, love is grand, but this is a bit extreme. Yes, Bella got everything in the end--she had her cake and ate it too--but that's not how it would work in real life and we all know it. Yes, this is fiction, but really, SMeyer. Really? Really?! Yeah, I didn't think so.
I will say that I LOVED Garret/Kate. That was awesome. So many shipping ops now, though. That's one good thing to come out of this fail boat of a shipwreck. Like that made any sense. I'm about as good at metaphors as Meyer. That's just awesome. Um anyway...yeah. I was super upset she was changed. Because it made her all different and stupid...-er.
