Another day off the 30 day Meme
Day 06 - Your day, in great detail
I woke up at around 5:40am, as I always do at this time of year. Headed to the bathroom to wash myself and use the facilities, before heading back to where I was sleeping so that I could dress myself and pack my bag in preparation for the journey home. By around 6:30am I had eaten a slice of toast, drunk two glasses of water, checked on my email and Facebook, and was sat on the sofa reading Mr Nice (the autobiography of Howard Marks) whilst waiting for everybody else to stir.
At 8am Claire came down the stairs and offered me a cup of tea, which I politely declined, and 10 minutes later Krissy emerged from her slumber to come and give me a hug before I left to get on the bus. By 8:35 I had left Krissy's place and headed to the only bus stop in Much Wenlock, where I had a 15 minute wait for the bus, but it was a nice morning: not too warm, no rain, nice cool breeze, and I had a bench to sit on whilst waiting.
The bus arrived on time, about 1 minute to 9am, and I boarded it and headed into Shrewsbury, which took approximately 35 minutes. Then I walked over to the railway station, which took me another five minutes. Waited for the train to Crewe, which wasn't that far away, and 30 minutes later departed the train in Crewe only to have to wait another 50 minutes for my connection to Warrington (Crewe is only a 25 minute drive from Warrington, so having to wait that long for a connecting train is very frustrating!). I got off the train in Warrington at roughly 20 past 11, headed to the bus station so I could get a bus home.
The first thing I did when I arrived home was empty my rucksack of the clothes that I'd worn over the weekend, then removed my boots, socks, combat pants, hoodie and t-shirt and throw them in the wash too (underwear stayed on until I was out of view of the windows, didn't want to go scaring the neighbours), and headed up to the shower, which I really felt like I needed (I love staying at Krissy's house, but they don't have a shower, they have a bath with a very low roof which makes it very awkward for me (being the Shrek-a-like that I am) to get in and out of). I then dried myself off, threw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt for comfort, styled my hair, and sat down on my arse in front of my PC to spend some Amazon gift vouchers (awesome birthday pressie off
Luwana and family) and catch up with what I'd been missing on LJ and everything else.
And here I am :)
Barely any plans for later, other than to watch Manchester United vs Newcastle United on the TV.
