Finally
I finally got Starcraft to work again. Here's what I did:
1) Uninstalled and reinstalled - Still fucked up
2) Disabled xfire and zone alarm, ran it - It worked
3) Started up zone alarm and ran it - Didn't work
4) Added starcraft.exe to the allowed programs list - Still screwed up
5) Turned off program control - It worked
6) Put program control to low - It worked
7) Put program control back to medium (where it was before all this) - It worked.
It's really weird how it took all that to make it work, especially when I already allowed it to run (which makes it so program control doesn't bug me about it)... but it works now.
My account was deleted for being inactive for so long, so I remade it. It is still Ekuliak, but my ladder rating is now gone -_-; Along with all my friends on my friends list.
We need to all get on sometime and play it.
I know Nick hates it, for whatever reason, but I can't hate Starcraft. It is what got me into PC gaming. It's the first game that I owned for PC myself and beat, and then played all the fucking time. I had played other games like doom, duke nukem, and wolfenstein, but those were almost all played at someone else's house, and I don't think I beat any of them till well after I had starcraft. It's also one of those games that I've beaten way too many times (along with titles like Halo (on both xbox and PC, multiple times each), Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Bros. 3, Pokemon Blue Version, and Diablo 2)
I've been playing starcraft for years. I remember what I was doing on New Year's Eve during that whole Y2K thing. I was playing Starcraft. I even remember talking to friends when I lived in L.A. and hearing about this "new expansion" for starcraft that recently came out.
Starcraft and I have a history together. It ain't going away.
Oh yes, and I'll try to make a habit of this idea I had. Whenever something is all about games, I'll use this Nvidia pic, and if it's all about UT, I'll use the flak smiley.
But if it still contains general stuff about like what I did at school that day or maybe even something lots of people would want to read, I'll still probably use the "waiting..." pic.
