Who Is Maria Barry? And Other Randomness.

Wow. That was strange. This morning, I posted a for-sale ad online for my iPod Nano and a while ago, someone sent me a text message saying she was interested in buying it. The strange part was, she wanted me to post the item as a gift for her friend. In Africa. Because she is currently on a business trip and thus, wouldn't be able to do it herself. When I asked how she would pay me, she said she would send the money to my bank account online. To me, this sounded like that Nigerian scam e-mail I got on my inbox a few years back, but I didn't want to be rude so I told her I was going to think about it.

Then she asked me to send her an e-mail once I've made up my mind and gave me her e-mail address: mariabarry007@gmail.com, which I, of course, promptly Googled. No search results. This obviously increased my suspicion that something was not right. I tried Googling mariabarry007. Maybe it's her username for all her online accounts. Still no search results. Finally, I Googled Maria Barry. About 62,100,000 results came up and the most popular one is about a wedding photographer (let's take a moment to laugh at the universe). Specifically, a FOREIGN wedding photographer. So I guess it's safe to say that she's not my mystery texter.

And it's safest to say that I'm never corresponding with her again.

{That was bloody funny though. In a weird, am-I-being-punked kind of way. :))}

Got soaking wet on my way to the mall today. It was extremely summer-y when I left the house then suddenly, BOOM. A rainstorm. I didn't bring an umbrella so I had no choice but to brave the rain. It was okay, though. I love the rain. ♥

Bought a snorkeling gear set for my niece. Nothing expensive, just a toy set. She's graduating from nursery school this Tuesday and I'm going to give it to her as a present because she absolutely loves to swim. When my mother saw the set, she said, "Naku, lalong hindi na aahon sa tubig yun." Hahaha! My niece is so adorable.  I got her an Iron Man scooter last Christmas and she went wild over it.

I'm such a cool aunt. I wish I had a cool aunt who showered me with cool stuff when I was younger. ;]



EVERYTHING IS JON SNOW AND NOTHING HURTS!

I FINALLY HAVE A PAPERBACK COPY OF 'A DANCE WTH DRAGONS'! The Hunger Games Trilogy would have to wait a little more.

The new Doctor's companion has been announced. Jenna-Louse Coleman would be taking over Karen Gillan starting on the Christmas episode. My first thought upon reading this news was: I am not emotionally prepared for a new companion. It's true. Rose Tyler would always hold a special place in my little Whovian heart, but Amy Pond is my first companion. But then again, the first time I watched Doctor Who, I didn't think I would love her as much as I do now. And of course, Steven Moffat is an insanely brilliant writer. I'm utterly confident that I would fall in love with the new companion like I did with Amy (and Rory).

Yes, you (probably) have no idea what I'm babbling about. XD

One last production and my school year is finally over! Heck yeah!
