(no subject)
so I'm sitting in pearson airport waiting for the plane. I"m looking forward to the trip, especially now that the squabbling has stopped. I think in part it's because we're there and everything forgotten is already to late to worry about.
but lets talk about my tale of woe prepping for this trip. Late last night (3 am I love never being able to sleep these days) I was lacing the cover of a photo album I was working on (pics later) then I drove the lacing needle into the pinky finger of my left hand. Not a regular needle, but a lacing needle, thing flat, half an inch wide (okay 1/8th) and dull, so it ripped and tore instead of sliced. That done I said taeheilwieit and tried to sleep.
The next morning at 9 I woke up, (as I should have been in newmarket at 9 instead of bed) I rushed beary eyed to the town to get what we needed. I got Tilley socks (guaranteed for 3 years no holes) and yay! the high point of the day so far. Then off to chapters where i discovered that one of the 2 books I wanted wasn't in, then my debit and visa cards didn't work.
Got my books, out to the car only to discover that my sainted mother was running the fans and radio and well the battery was dead. we thought it was the starter as there were a few issues with it before. 25 minutes later the tow truck showed up, boosted the van and off we go!
late as usuall, WWIII occured at my parents house, then off to the bank to fix my card (so I would have money and be able to do stuff like eat for 2 weeks in scotland.) which took a half hour longer than it should, then on to the airport!
we're here in the airport, an hour to go, there's a cute girl accross from me crying cause her boyfriend and her are fighting and they're going somewhere together and well, it should be a fun flight is all I'm saying. I'm happy to bundle up and fly cargo, honest.
Well I touch down in Glasgow at 5 am local time, then off to the hotel to die for a few before going to work finishing the photo album and see the sights.
Did you know that Falkirk as a giant pineapple? I'm so excited. lol I wish YOU were here with me.
