Wank Week Catch Up
As some of you know, I just had the BFF's wedding week conflicting with Comic Wank Week, and DUDE, IT WAS HARD. Luckily, the other bridesmaids cheerfully consoled me with happy wedding plans whenever I'd get pessimistic about the comics, and some of my last interactions before submitting to the exhaustion known as bridesmaid-dom were with Emmie and her optimistic take so I know that the pessimistic surface story can be explained away as foreshadowing something more.
I'm still bordering on the pessimistic/optimistic tightrope, and now I need meta, reviews, and the actual comic book to decide if I should abandon ship (which really would never happen) or see this issue as the last great shout out to Bangel-dom before shit's going down.
So, everyone, please benevolently link up your reviews and meta, as well as that of others, so I can catch up on the wank. If people have links to good board posts and debate as well, I'd love those links, too, as well as any downloads of the issue for my viewing, because even though the bridesmaids volunteered to drive me to a comic book store, we TOTALLY didn't have the time. I missed you guys and all the fun we have every month dissecting the bullshit and wank for the bits and pieces we can sqee or boo over, so please keep me posted so I can join in on the wankage!
Also, should I be weirded out that my Spuffy icon (above) now includes the Master at least in spirit? Because it's pretty, even if the Master is in the really real version of the Buffy Chen cover. Kinda annoyed Chen had to ruin the pretty.
