“You what?!”
Nino cornered him on his newly rent apartment, they were about to go out for their albums work and that was when he told the younger that he and Jun were dating.
“Yes,” Ohno beamed, “he kissed me last night.”
“No way!” Nino shook his head, “is his head bumping into something that hard until he says yes?” the brat chuckled loudly, gaining a smack from Ohno on his temple.
“I don’t care if he’s bumping his head on something, the most important is we are dating and I can kiss him as much as I like,” Ohno said happily as they walked out; he had bought two pairs of new shoes to replace the old one and he wore his best shirt today, even though Nino commented that it brought no changes on him.
“The problem is what if you’re not the only one,” Nino gave him a concern look.
“Oh, come on Kaz, don’t ruin my newly bloom happiness,” Ohno attached the digital ticket to enter the station, Nino followed behind him.
“I mean, he’s really handsome and you’re only having standard face, it is too obvious that he’ll leave you when he finally realizes that you’re not good enough for him.”
“I’m fine with that,” Ohno said. They chose the seats at the far corner; Nino drowned into his DS, leaving Ohno with his own thoughts. He couldn’t picture Jun as a bad guy who would play his heart - at least for now.
They had been dating for a month; even though they had a little time to meet each other due to their work. Ohno and Nino were very busy preparing their albums and Jun got more offers for fashion shows, magazines photo shoots, or CMs. Working under the same agency didn’t mean he and Jun could meet every day like what they had a few months earlier. The only one person who knew about them dating was Nino - maybe Aiba as well but his boss chose not to comment or tease them regarding their new relationship status.
Nino was right after all, he was too ordinary for someone like Jun whose appearance defeated even the most beautiful angel in heaven. He unconsciously touched his lips, Jun kissed him last night - passionately and teased him that he was a bad kisser. Remembering that made him feel better; Jun chose him and if he wanted to play him, he might have been started behind his back. Ohno trusted Jun, that was the only thing he could do.
“Ohno kun!” Aiba called him when he passed his office at the lunch time - he had been sitting at the studio, finishing the last song with Nino and their appointed producer.
“Yes, Aiba san,” Ohno approached his boss whose hands united to each other and his face was decorated by his usual smile.
“Going out for lunch?”
“Sort of, but I’m still thinking of what to eat.”
“Come with me,” Aiba rose off of his chair and dragged him to the restaurant nearby the agency. The only vacant table was the one at the corner; without hesitation, Aiba slumped there, sitting across from Ohno, “order anything you like, my treat.”
“Thanks,” Ohno opened the menu book, “but why?”
“You’ve been working so hard,” Aiba said lightly, mentioning his order to the waiter and waiting for Ohno to do the same.
“One Chawanmusi and a bowl of ramen please,” Ohno mentioned, the waiter noted his order and left them, Aiba still smiled at him, making him feel awkward.
“I want to talk about our new project, once your album released.” Aiba gulped the mineral water in front of him deliciously, “Something like tour.”
“Nino and I have discussed about it too,” Ohno said, why did Aiba only invited him for lunch and didn’t include Nino, but then he thought that maybe both of them had already talked about it - in more private ways.
“Yes, that one,” Aiba beamed, “we should arrange the concept for your first tour,” he continued.
“I haven’t thought about it,” Ohno admitted, “I’m not a good concept maker after all.”
“Don’t worry,” Aiba waged his hand, “I know a few people who can help us,” he said, finishing his water, Ohno guessed that Aiba had another intention by inviting him for lunch. He waited until their order came but Aiba seemed was in no hurry to tell him.
“About Matsujun,” he began after eating half of his food, Ohno’s chopsticks stopped in the air when his boss mentioned Jun’s name, “are you two dating?”
Ohno couldn’t find a way to tell a lie, so he nodded.
“Congratulation,” Aiba said, but his voice didn’t show that he was truly happy about it, “I just want to make sure that you both can work professionally - even though in the middle of a fight - I hope you will never fight,” he added lightly, “but you are new in this entertainment world and Jun is a model - a hot one.”
Ohno could guess where this conversation was heading to, but he let Aiba continued, “There will be a time when Jun needs to act with another actor and there will be gossips about him; are you ready for that?”
Ohno muted.
“His father is an owner of a big company and Jun joined my agency only because he was too independent to depend on his parents,” Aiba looked serious for the first time, “what I want to tell you is, please prepare for the unexpected things that might happen between you both - I support you - of course, the two of you is a perfect match,” he smiled, encouraging Ohno whose appetite got lost all of sudden.
“I know,” Ohno answered after in interval of silence, “he’s too good for me and bla bla bla, but Aiba san, I can’t stop loving him, even though it’s the best thing to do. I believe that he’s the one for me, so whatever comes my way, I will face it.”
“I got you,” Aiba smiled, “Jun is a good guy, despite of his arrogant look - you must prepare for his family if you are serious with him.”
“I will,” Ohno gulped hard and just realized that dating Jun wasn’t that simple - he could see that many problems would come on their ways; he would fight them as much as he could - but would Jun do the same?
***
"Kaz, just for tonight, don't you dare to call me, email me, or whatsoever that is not important enough, do you get it?"
"Borrowing tooth paste is important and very crucial for me, so maybe I'll break into your room," Nino rolled his eyes mischievously.
"I'll throw you from my window, I mean it," Ohno gave a darn look to his friend; Nino smiled amusingly at him and patted his shoulder.
"Do you think that I'm that evil?"
"Yes, sometimes," he shrugged but they laughed together as they got separated; Nino headed his own room upstairs meanwhile Ohno stepped to his own. He must clean his room - right now.
He glanced at the clock on his wall, fifteen minutes, he told himself. Jun would be here in fifteen minutes and his room was still like a sunken Titanic. He randomly took his clothes from his bed and threw them to the laundry basket; he swept all of the snack packs from his desk and crammed them to the small dustbin. He was still cleaning his terrible kitchen when his bell rang.
"Oh no," the plastic plate slipped away from his hand and hit the floor with spectacular sound. The bell rang again.
"I'm coming," Ohno hopelessly threw the plate on its shelf and fled to the front door, he arranged his breath and unlocked it with trembling hands.
"Hi."
He accidentally closed the door again, afraid that he would faint in nervousness.
"Satoshi kun..."
"Hi, sorry for that," he opened the door wide and grinned at Jun who stood there with astonishment, he held two paper bags on his hands which looked heavy. "Let me carry it," he took the bags from Jun's hand and formed a happy smile to the taller.
"Are you okay?" Jun asked in concern, waiting for him to enter the room.
"Yes," Ohno guided the taller, he tried to ignore the over loaded trash bin on their way, "Sorry my house is..." he couldn't finish his sentence when he stumbled on his own feet; the paper bags fell ahead of him, pouring down all the things inside them. Potatoes, apples, beef, and the other ingredients that he couldn't name. They rolled above his dirty floor and all Ohno could do was closing his eyes in guiltiness.
"Sorry..." he said, cursing himself for being so much clumsy, he wasn't like this if he was with Nino, Jun's appearance had aroused something inside him and he hadn't got used to it.
"Are you okay," Jun squatted in front of him and offered his hand to help him stand up. Ohno nodded embarrassingly, he took Jun's hand but the other didn't pull him to stand - he pulled him into a hug and kissed the end of his ear, "should I teach you how to welcome your lover when he visits your house for the first time?"
Ohno bit his lower lip; he had never taken the first step to kiss Jun; he had no confident to start and he didn't think Jun would like it either. He remembered how Jun teased him as a bad kisser.
He pulled away from Jun and grinned innocently; the other pinched his cheeks and laughed, "We have to take care of the mess now."
"You're right, I'm sorry," he said again. Jun began collecting the apples and the potatoes, stuffing them onto the basket he had taken from the kitchen. Ohno helped him and caught his wrist when he took the last potato from the floor.
"Jun," he called the other, "I miss you."
"How much?"
"This much," he leaned closer to wrap him on his embrace, inhaling the perfume Jun was wearing; the same scent with the scarf he had been keeping for all these times.
"I miss you too," Jun's wonderful fingers found their way to his nape and caressed it the way Ohno liked so much.
"I'm hungry, can start our cooking now?"
"Sure."
Both of them stood up and headed the kitchen. Ohno let Jun walked ahead of him and his mind went wild, imagining something which made him bashful. It was the first home date for both of them and for some reasons - Ohno was more nervous, being at home meant that they could dress the way they liked without trying to look good. He hadn't seen Jun on his home wear yet - he barely imagined how Jun would look like if he was in a mess; a face after getting up from the bed or after bathing. But he knew he couldn't expect more than an apron for today.
"Do you have a smaller knife to peel these apples?"
Ohno was still in his trance when Jun asked and he couldn't answer immediately; he approached the taller, "Pardon me."
"A smaller knife, this is too big to peel the apple."
"I'm sorry I don't, I have just moved here and there's not enough time to buy the stuff I need. I can run to the nearest supermarket to get it for you," he offered.
"No, no, it's okay," Jun formed a guilty expression, "It will do enough. Sorry."
They were still stiff towards each other; a month wasn't enough to melt the iceberg between them, no, it was Ohno who had always been awkward and shy every time he was close to Jun.
He watched Jun peeled the apples without any problem; clueless - he stepped further, managed to make his room cleaner but a second letter Jun released a tiny scream. Ohno turned to him and saw his left hand was bleeding.
“It’s okay,” Jun sucked his own blood but Ohno moved quickly to him.
“It’s not, you have photo shoot tomorrow.”
“The schedule has changed, I’m free tomorrow,” Jun chuckled, but Ohno didn’t listen to him; he cleaned Jun’s wound with alcohol and wrapped it with a wound dressing - all in a surprising speed. Jun’s eyes were on him all the time, his lips curved in a smile.
“I thought that you were a clumsy guy,” he said, “remember when you poured the wine to my precious shirt?”
“That…” Ohno finished his wound care but didn’t let go off Jun’s hand, “I’m sorry for that, I haven’t changed your laundry expense.”
“I washed it right away but the wine couldn’t be cleaned perfectly,” he looked through Ohno’s eyes, “I was ready to hate you back then.”
“Really?”
“Yes, but…” he blushed all of sudden and his handsome face looked even more handsome, “I can’t lie to myself that I liked you.”
“But you had been so cold to me,” Ohno said, recalling how Jun had treated him before the PV accident.
“I don’t want to show you,” he moved closer, Ohno could count his eyelashes, his lips were slightly parted, waiting for Ohno to kiss them, he dared to start; attaching his lips to Jun’s, pushing them a little bit harder. Jun’s right hand moved to his nape, pulling him closer; Ohno tried to insert his tongue like what he had seen in porn movies which he watched together with Nino a long time ago - he made it and he heard Jun moaned in a way that made him shiver.
‘Ting - tong’
Ohno cursed; he had warned Nino not to disturb him. Jun pulled his head away and smiled widely, “You’d better open it,” he said when he saw Ohno’s annoyed expression.
He peered through the peephole and saw Nino there, he opened the door with the chain on, “I’ve told you not to disturb,” he hissed so Jun couldn’t hear him.
“You forgot something,” Nino hissed back, holding his chuckle.
“What?”
“This,” Nino slid something from his pocket - a pack of condom that Ohno ordered around a week ago; but it didn’t mean he wanted to use it on his first home date, he knew his face had turned red like a crab now.
“Kazu, for God’s sake, I don’t need it now.”
“Take it, just in case.”
“Damn you, I’m gonna punch you very very hard for this.”
“Can’t wait,” Nino peered inside, “did I interrupt something important?”
“Yes, you’d better go now!” Ohno closed the door and made sure that Nino had already walked towards the stairs before returning to Jun. He hid the condom inside his jeans pocket - he didn’t want to use it now, he wasn’t ready for something like that.
“Who was that?” Jun already backed to the kitchen and continued peeling his precious apples.
“Kazunari, he…um…wanted to discuss the schedule, but…I told him that…”
“Why didn’t you invite him inside?”
“No no no,” he approached Jun, “it’s our date; I want to be with you with nobody else around us.”
Jun chuckled for hearing that and Ohno was more than happy to see that smile. This man was the only one for him - he convinced himself once again. No mattered what Aiba or Nino told him - he won’t believe that Jun would leave him for somebody else. Jun agreed to date him, not caring about Ohno’s appearance or his lack of money, he even cooked at his kitchen, peeling apples with his over sized knife.
***
Their dinner was fantastic, Jun’s cooking skill was nearly like a real chef and when they had finished; Ohno leaned happily to his chair, so full and satisfied.
“Don’t bother to wash the dishes, Jun,” he told the other when he carried the dirty plates to the sink, “it’s my part to do that.”
“I trust you,” Jun slumped next to him and looked sleepy; he must be so tired today - he finished several photo shoots and went straightly to Ohno’s house.
“Do you want to go home now?”
“Who said I will go home?” Jun leaned his head to his shoulder, “I want to stay over, do you mind?”
“Oh…er-…” Ohno could feel his heart beat so fast; wasn’t it too early for them to sleep together - no - he would sleep on the floor and gave the bed to Jun. “Is it okay? My bed isn’t that great, it’ll hurt your back by tomorrow morning.”
Jun only smiled for hearing that - why did his smile so mesmerizing?
“Well, if you don’t mind…” he continued; Jun’s nose was right on his neck and his breaths came into regular interval - he fell asleep. Ohno didn’t dare to move, afraid that he would wake the other; he stayed still, caressing Jun’s thick hair. That was the first time for him to see Jun’s innocent face when he slept easily like a little kid. They were still in the dining table; how could he lift Jun to his bed in an odd position like this?
He had no choice but letting Jun sleep for a while and waited for him to wake up - maybe in the middle of the night. He closed his eyes and enjoyed Jun’s ticklish breath on his skin; finding a little more comfortable position on the wall.
