Time, how it flied fast without we even noticed it. That was what Ohno Satoshi had in mind when he locked his new apartment that morning. He had spent one last month with apartment hunting, meeting with the recording label, discussing their debut song with Nino and Aiba, and he was exhausted, hehad never thought it would be this hard to make an album. But when he opened the door on the second floor of Rakuen club, where his management office was, he forgot all of his tiredness. The reason was clear, he could see his perfect goddess sat there under sunlight, flipping the magazine on his lap.
“Good morning Matsumoto-san.” Ohno greeted the other, trying hard to hide his blush, remembering all the dreams he had night over night about the other.
“Morning,” the model only answered halfheartedly and Ohno had already got used to it. One think he learned about his co-worker was how the other was never a morning person. He would only frown, grumble, and mumble whenever he got to be in the agency early morning according to his standard. Nevertheless, Ohno still liked that side of him and saw him perfect that way.
“Do you want some coffee?” Ohno asked again, he was about to pour another cup for the guy but the other just silently raised his half filled coffee cup on his hand. Ohno put the coffee pot down; disappointed at the lack of interest Matsumoto gave him.
“Good Morning…” the door opened in one bouncy movement - revealing the happy Nino behind it. Ohno could easily guess what the reason, when a taller hand holding the door from bouncing back at him. There was Aiba at Nino’s heels, no wondered his duo been so happy recently.
“Morning Oh-chan, Morning J.” Nino sat himself beside Matsumoto, sliding out his DS and starting to talk enthusiastically. Ohno looked on the couch enviously at how Nino could get close to Matsumoto so easily, while the model only talked to him when it was needed and only with short answers, showing how much Jun ignored him. The whole month, he had been trying to talk with the taller but only several got answered. He tried to invite him for lunch but the other always had to run for some photo shoots. Ohno was just helpless to get the other’s attention. He knew Jun always stays and listens to them in the café but they never talked, he just busily talking with Aiba about his schedules. Ohno knew his chances to talk with the guy were over for today, so he sat helplessly on the chair at far corner.
“Er-… guys, we might have some troubles,” Aiba stared at the three of them once he hung up his phone.
"Do you remember we will start shooting the PV in next week?” He paused to see Ohno and Nino silently nodded their heads. They were scheduled to get the PV ready by the time they would have announced their first single, which is about a month from now.
“Well, the model just committed suicide last night. Now, how can we get another ready model to replace him?" Aiba continued and spread his sight to them. Wariness was clearly shown in his face and Ohno couldn’t blame him for anything. His boss had given ‘Rainy Rainbow’, the name of his and Nino duo, all best support any sponsor could ever given. This time though was out of everybody expectation. Aiba was right; it would not be easy to look for another model to act in a PV of the unknown duo.
"Hmmm, we have one ready model in this room," Nino glanced at his side where Jun seated. Ohno surprised to hear him, especially with the mischief look Nino had in his face. Nino, his best friend, knew his obsession over the model and the pale guy teased him more than often. He just never thought that Nino would actually go this far to tease him.
"What?! No. No, can't. I'm a runway model, just got into Magz lately, no way I could be in a PV, right, Aiba san?" Jun shook his head quickly and stared at Ohno in disbelief. Somehow Ohno sensed it wasn't the only reason Jun refused the offer. It was not the fact that he couldn’t act, but more facts that the other refused to get closer to him. Ohno knew he had to start something before Jun will completely run out his hand.
"I think you will be great in acting." Ohno mumbled unclearly but the room fell into silent once he finished his words. Every eye was looking at him so that he just scratched his nose in embarrassment and shades of red were creeping onward Jun’s cheek, adorably. During the meeting of their debut, Ohno would have just sat quietly, spacing out and let Nino do all the talks, so when he finally talked just like now, everybody was surprised, not a wonder for him though.
"Ohno san got the point, this will be a good experience for you too, Jun. and we could make this as ‘Rakuen’ first project together - think about it." Aiba patted his shoulder, smiling encouraging him, and Ohno knew Jun was staggering his options.
"Come on Jun, just say yes, it's gonna be our PV that you'll ruin anyway." Nino leaned on his shoulder and batted his eyes. Ohno just wished he could change places with his best friend or at least got the courage to pull that brat away from his source of wild imaginations.
Jun sighed deeply, knowing himself defenseless. Jun just nodded and mumbled something that heard like ‘I won’t responsible if the PV ruined’ before he left when his driver come to pick him for his photo shoot. Ohno couldn’t help his smile seeing that he would have another chance to be with the taller. The raise of eyebrows from Nino got his furious back on - he threw the small cushion to him.

The sun was shining brightly on the day of their PV shooting, all of the Rakuen management gathered on the beach where they would do the shooting. The director had shared his story board to them a day before. They were expected to be taken close up pictures. Nino would only need to sit behind his piano, playing the ‘minus-one’ of their single or sometimes he would walk on the wooden dock, circling his piano and glancing at the camera every now and then.
Acting will be given to both Ohno and Matsumoto. The song would mostly telling a story of someone who finally found the perfect guy into his life and that perfect guy will be pictured by Matsumoto while Ohno will picturing the ‘someone’ whose life changes. How Ohno thought the story line was too close to reality. He had already imagined the scenes; even before the briefing - an adorable blush crawled to his cheeks and he smiled amusingly at himself.
Maybe it was because his over imaginative scenes or maybe because the outfits Jun was wearing - white shirts and pants - were too well made which revealed his body lines that Ohno got himself messing around.
“Ohno-san, that’s not when you stop. You stop at the second coconut tree and please stop looking at Matsumoto san before it. You will be stunned once you stop then look at him, not when you are walking.” The director yelled from his chair.
“Sorry…” Ohno mumbled his apologize quickly. It was the third takes of the shoots, only for that scene where Ohno should walked ignorantly until his eyes met Jun’s. But he forgot the plot once he saw the model. Jun walked from the other side, looking at him like an angel himself with sun rays shining on him, brightening the brown colored hair and his white skin sparkling.
Ohno saw him laughed at him - but trying hard to hide it; the air was quite hot that afternoon and Jun waited until the director finishing his lecturers on Ohno while waging a fan. His upper shirt buttons were loosened, revealing his creamy chest and the scene had made Ohno more terrible.
“Gosh, I thought I will be the one ruining the PV, seems like you done it already.” Jun scolded him lightly beside him and that made Ohno blushed with shames. He sounded amused instead of angry - maybe he had already known that he was the one who made Ohno lost all of his concentrations.
They re-took the scenes and this time, Ohno managed to hold his wildly jumping heart when he saw Jun and walked the plot until the director yelled cut and satisfied with how it ended.
Ohno took the umbrella that offered to him. His eyes didn’t leave Jun who stood by as instructed by the director. The guy stood still on thin steel that settled a little further in the water, so he looked like standing on the sea and the sun shine poured on him, making him looked more perfect than he already was. Camera taking head shoot from above him and that left him alone on the narrow plate.
“Oi, shut your mouth Jii-san, you’re drooling.” Ohno heard Nino teased him but he just shrugged the younger away. He saw some stressed coming out from Jun and he was right. The narrow plate was staggering a little before it broke and sent Jun down directly into the water. Jun wasn’t prepared for this and even though he could swim - it didn’t mean he could handle the big wave which suddenly came from the sea. His face turned panic as he tried to grab onto something but failed when the bigger wave blew him away.
Ohno wasted no time until he ran over the place and swimming quickly, trying to grab the taller before another wave brought him away. He heard the staffs screamed above them but he knew they would be okay - he is a good swimmer and he would never let anything happened to Jun. His hand finally got a grip of Jun’s, Ohno tried to go to the surface, pulling the other with him.
Jun was too shocked; he was trembling badly - his hair covered his face and he still trying to arrange his breaths. Ohno tried to calm the drowned man, circling his hand on Jun’s bigger shoulder and he felt Jun relaxed when the guy saw that it was him who held him. With no words, they both started pedaling at the same time to get on the shore. Well it didn’t take long because all the staffs were running after them and they all pulled the both of them out of the water.
“Thank you.” Jun whispered softly before a staff separated them and got the towels over them. Ohno dared himself to look through Jun’s eyes - if they were in more relaxing situation - he must have already melted but now, Jun needed him; or so he thought - he must be strong to see those eyes. Ohno wanted to say something but his lips glued to each other, Jun was mesmerizing, even when he was wet and messy.
Ohno formed a smile on his lips smiling - and this time, the other replied him, not the awkward or arrogant smile but it was sincere and for the first time, Ohno thought that he had just seen the real Matsumoto Jun. He was so happy that he could cry.
The director was non-stop apologizing to Aiba for his staffs recklessness but Rakuen boss just waived it away, saying it was just an accident and no harm done, also all his stars were fine. Ohno just glad it was the last scene so they all could go home afterwards.

“Kaz, there’s no way you could perform like this.” Ohno put his hand over Nino’s forehead.
“Jeezz… Of course I can. It’s just a fever not an acute illness that can kill me, old man.” Nino hissed his words, ready to bite the hand that was over his head.
Two weeks after the PV incident, Ohno didn’t know whether he should have thanked the accident or felt sorry about it. It brought him closer to Jun; the model was absent for three days in a row because he got flu but when he returned to work - he treated Ohno differently. He greeted Ohno good morning even before he opened his mouth - he even made Ohno a cup of delicious coffee when they sat together, waiting for Aiba who came late. Jun would talk - Ohno had no many topics to talk about so he simply listened to Jun’s stories.
Today he had met Jun in the morning, stunning like always and he felt that if he didn’t confess his feeling; Jun might be taken away by another guy. Confessing didn’t guarantee that Jun would say yes, but at least he knew what Ohno felt for him for all these times.
“Sorry Nino, but your partner is right, you can’t get on stage with over 39 degree like now, unless if you want to faint on the stage and embarrassed yourself, ” Aiba demanding and softly pushed the younger away to his office to take a rest - if it was Aiba who asked - Nino would obey without any terms of conditions.
“Go rest on my couch, I will announce that Rainy Rainbow have to cancel their show.” Aiba readily went out the room but Ohno somehow sensed a little sadness in his tone.
“Wa… Wait, what if I perform on behalf Kazu too? Is it okay?” he slipped on his words but then he really meant it. Their band might have not debuted yet but somehow, there were people who always come to Rakuen Club whenever they performed and Ohno considered them as their fans. They couldn’t disappoint them. Aiba and Nino looked at him - speechless before doubtingly nodded their head.
But now, Ohno felt sorry for himself. He shouldn’t have said things that he didn’t even sure he could do. He stood behind the curtain groggily, looking over the full crowded house. He never was the bravest and it was usually Nino who did the talk, but now, he was left alone.
“Now, since his partner not too well today, please welcome ‘Rainy Rainbow’, Ohno Satoshi.” When the MC announced his name, Ohno felt a cold sweat running on his back. He got no other choices and got nowhere to go but to the stage.
Taking a deep breath and gulping big, Ohno walked to the piano that was prepared for Kazu to play. He sat on the chair, breathing deep again and looked at the crowd. There was a different from when he just sat behind a mike, nothing could pull any unnecessary attention to him, but the grand piano will surely make everyone craned their heads to him. He spread his sight until his eyes stopped on the model of their PV, sitting relaxingly, talking with Aiba. The guy might have sensed his sight, because he turned his head to Ohno. Their eyes met and Ohno knew what to do.
“Th… Thank you all for coming. Sorry, Nino is not well so I hope you content with me.” Ohno could hear his own voice shaking a little but he saw Jun’s lips twitched into a smile and he continued confidently.
“This is supposed to be our debut single, PV will come out in about two weeks, but I want to sing it for someone that had got me since the first time we met. Hope you all enjoy it,” the audiences whistled over his words and Ohno felt his cheeks reddened; a girl at the corner mumbled that she had broken heart but in joking tone which made the other audiences laughed.
Ohno waited until everybody calmed enough and he started pressing the first bar of the piano and sang the song in more relaxing romantic way. His clear voice fulfilled the room and it suddenly turned silent so that if a dropped needle could be heard.
‘you are the perfectly imperfect, eyes only seek for your beauty, you made me fell and worship you as always.’
The laid back tone, the dimmed light, the crowds saying ‘aaaaahhhh’ was nothing in Ohno senses. All he got to see was Jun’s face, how the face was confused, and turned red, he sat uncomfortably but not leaving the room. Ohno wrote the lyrics himself and it was indeed dedicated for Jun.
“Good job Ohchan! I don’t know you could play the piano, though it may not be as good as Kazu.” Aiba grinned widely once he was off the stage and walked to where he and Matsumoto were sitting. Ohno grimaced a second, he did miss some of the tunes on second and third songs, but at least no one noticed it except Aiba.
“I’ll go check on Kazu then,” Aiba left his seat when he saw the two of his stars were only looking at each other and Ohno started to believe that Nino gossiping him with Aiba behind his back. He took the beer from Aiba’s hand and sat on his chair previously, more nervous than when he stood on the stage alone.
“Nice song.” Matsumoto cut the silence between them after five minutes and even though his face looked plain and ignorant, Ohno saw the tip of his ears turned red. This was his moment, Ohno thought.
“I… I… It… I mean, I wrote it for you.” Ohno tripped on his words again, the butterflies inside his stomach suddenly decided to fly around.
“Why?” Jun asked again, looking at his own warming beer.
“I like you since the first time we met, I mean it Matsumoto-san, though you might think I’m clumsy, but I do really like you.” Ohno said the words so fast that the other might not understand. But he couldn’t stop, not now - it was too late for him to stop and no mattered how red his face was, he didn’t care.
“Would you like to date me? Could we date? I mean, date, you, me…” Ohno lost his words since now Jun facing him and looking at him thoroughly. Jun blinked a few times, sipping all of his beer on his glass afterwards but not giving an answer yet. He craned his head to Ohno - his face showed no expressions; as if analyzing what just had happened.
The man’s eyes were glassy, whether he was drunk or sleepy, Ohno couldn’t tell but he wished it was from happiness. They looked at each other for a while until there was unseen power that made them leaned closer and closer until their nose nearly touched. Jun suddenly said his answer and broke the spell.
“Yeah… I think we can try…”
