Prologue
In the year 2006, the entertainment industry has been gradually becoming dull. For years and years, viewers sit in front of their television set, watching their favorite idols dance and sing gaily onstage. They watch random game shows or talk shows with celebrities hosting them, covering different topics that range from one aspect to another. However the viewers are getting bored. It’s boring watching the same people do the same dance, sing the same song, and cover the same topic each time. Viewers slowly become apathetic towards the idols, gaining no amusement or interest in the shows being presented. TV ratings have drastically dwindled as the months pass by as Television companies are on the floor in despair, staying up all night to think up of ways in order to save their company from going out of business.
Not only are the televisions companies are being affected by this. Stocks that represented the companies are drastically falling as millions of people all over Japan are losing their money, eventually becoming broke. All that is to blame on the television companies and their lack of ratings. Actors, singers, models are slowly going out of business, neglecting their talents and resorting to meager jobs just as working at a grocery store or being employed at a fast food restaurant.
However there is one man who has not given up on the entertainment industry. This man refused to watch the existence of television companies to crumble. He had lived his life, finding ways to create male idols that are able to make girls swoon and boys admire. His name was Johnny Kitagawa and Mr. Johnny had finally thought of a way to regain his viewers back and extinguish the apathetic behavior towards the entertainment industry.
And that plan happened to be…Operation: Battle Royale…
Johnnies Style.
Chapter 1
Mr. Johnny had decided to sacrifice the new generation of popular boys in order to regain interest of viewers all over Japan. He concluded that even though pretty boys are being sacrificed, they can always be replaced in the future. He was positive that there were prettier ones to come in the future, although he had to admit, he was a bit reluctant to let Kamenashi Kazuya go.
Anyways, if any idol was aware that they were being sent off to participate in a game as deadly as Battle Royale would immediately protest and hide to prevent themselves to be thrown into such a situation. Mr. Johnny was well aware of that and diverse a plan to get all the boys in one destination, having no way for them to escape and have no choice but to participate in the game. So, in order to convince the boys of Johnny’s Jimusho, Mr. Johnny announced to the boys that he would be presenting them a 3 day vacation to…
“DISNEYLAND!” Tanaka Koki of KATTUN grinned widely in his seat as he looked out the window of the charter bus. He could almost see the entrance of his favorite theme park as he held an ambition to ride on every ride there.
“You are such a little kid!” Nakamaru Yuichi of KATTUN exclaimed as he smacked his friend in the head. “You act as if you’ve never been there before!”
“I know! But doesn’t it make you excited?” Koki jumped in his seat, only to realize that he wasn’t the only one jumping in his seat. Koki peered over as he looked a few seats before him. “Look! Look! I’m not the only one jumping in my seat!”
“It’s probably someone like Kusano or Taiyo or Maruyama…they don’t count!” Nakamaru mumbled only for Koki to shake his head and point. Nakamaru immediately kept his mouth shut as he gave a small sigh.
Takizawa Hideaki fidgeted rather excitedly in his seat as he couldn’t help but point at the Disneyland entrance which was getting closer by the second. “Wah! It’s been awhile since we ever got treated to vacation, huh Tsubasa?”
“Yeah…” Imai Tsubasa agreed as he smiled at his partner. “Although I’m still a bit worried about the entertainment industry…don’t you find it a bit strange that they are sending us on vacation during a crucial moment?”
“Ah! There you go again!” Shibutani Subaru of Kanjani8 peered in from the seat behind as he gave Tsubasa a push on the back. “Always worrying!”
“He’s right!” Tackey nodded. “We should just enjoy the next three days to the fullest, so no more moping from you, alright?”
“You’re right…” Tsubasa gave a weak smile. “I should stop being a party pooper.”
“And now I want a cookie!” Tackey grinned as he waved his arm towards the back end of the bus. “Yo! You three in the back! Stop hogging all the cookies!”
Ohno Satoshi, Aiba Masaki, and Matsumoto Jun of Arashi huddled in the back, munching on to random delicious snacks and cookies. They all grinned back at Tackey with cracker filled teeth, which kind of grossed the boy out.
“Give me some!” Tackey cried out.
“Okay!” Ohno nodded as he grabbed an already opened bag. He then tossed the bag over as Tackey caught. Tackey grinned widely as he got ready to devour the delicious cookies, only to frown heavily in disappointment.
“What the hell is this?” Tackey picked up a rather raggedy looking sock from the cookie emptied bag.
“AH!” Subaru exclaimed as he snatched the sock from Tackey’s hand. “That’s mine!”
“Are you sure?” Yokoyama Yu of Kanjani8 peered over. “…because those look a lot like mine.”
“Okay, well, who’s ever it is, just take it away, get that dirty sock away from me!” Tackey cried out, only for Yokoyama to let out a mischievous grin. Yokoyama grabbed the sock from Subaru as he threw it on Tackey’s head. Tackey immediately reacted by grabbing the sock and throwing it towards the back of the bus, landing on…
“Ah.”
Yamashita Tomohisa of NEWS felt something flop on to the top of his head. His hand reached for his head as he felt a dirty looking sock. The pretty boy picked up the sock from the tips of his thumb and index finger, scrunching his nose a bit.
“Who threw this at me?” Yamapi exclaimed as he frowned rather cutely at his fellow co-workers.
Yamapi continued to look around, only to notice two people giggling heavily in the side. “AKANISHI! KAMENASHI!”
Both Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi Kazuya of KATTUN immediately stopped their giggling as they immediately forced their facial expressions to turn serious. Yamapi frowned suspiciously at the two. “Did you guys throw this at me?”
“No! We’d never!” Jin immediately denied as Kame shook his head frantically.
“Those socks are hideous!” Kame commented. “You think someone with my taste would own such a pair?”
“Damn it, you’re right,” Yamapi frowned as he continued to look around the bus…only to find another person laughing. “N-Nishikido!”
Yamapi threw the sock towards Nishikido Ryo’s direction as the sock landed in…well…his mouth.
“EW!” Uchi Hiroki of NEWS and Kanjani8 sat next to Ryo, as he looked at his friend in amused horror. “Ryo-chan, you better go wash your mouth out with soap.”
Nishikido Ryo of NEWS and Kanjani8 was horribly appalled as he immediately grabbed the sock from his mouth. He began to spit out the remnants uncontrollably, glaring at the people who surrounded him.
“Uh-Oh!” Tackey cupped his hands in delight. “Someone’s going to get a beating.”
“WHO THREW THIS?” Ryo yelled for the second time, only for trembling hands to raise and point towards Yamapi’s direction. “PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!”
Nishikido Ryo immediately removed himself from his seat, only to feel a bit drowsy. He frowned wondering why his body was unable to move at his command as he felt his knees gradually grow weak. Ryo slowly slid on to the floor, noticing the other boys around him slowly falling asleep in their seats. He immediately grabbed the closest person next to him, trying his best to regain their conscious.
“Yo…Ninomiya!” Ryo weakly shook his senior’s arm as Nino was well knocked out. In desperation, he turned to his other side, clasping on to Yamashita Shoon’s arm. “Shoon! Shoon! Wake up!”
“Hnn…” Shoon’s eyes fluttered for a split second as it closed tightly. Ryo attempted to reach out towards Shingo Murakami, yet failed to do so as he himself lost consciousness.
Everything was black.
Ohkura Tadayoshi of Kanjani8 felt his whole body ache with pain. He felt as if someone threw him down on to the floor as he slowly lifted up his eyelids, looking around the unknown room he was in. He sat up as he saw all of his friends sprawled randomly all over the floor. Ohkura frowned at the sight feeling a bit scared and unwary as he reached out for the closest person near him.
“Ta-Taguchi-kun!” Ohkura shook the taller boy frantically as Taguchi Junnosuke of KATTUN slowly regained consciousness.
“Huh?” Junno rubbed his eyes as he looked around the strange room. He then turned to Ohkura with a confused expression plastered on his face. “O-Ohkura…w-where are we?”
“I…I…I don’t know!” Ohkura frowned only for his eyes to catch something shiny upon Junno’s neck. “Hey…what’s that?”
Junno looked down as he couldn’t actually see what Ohkura was referring to, yet his fingers clasped onto the shiny metal ring that hung around his neck. Junno’s eyes widened at the feel as he looked at Ohkura’s neck.
“Y-You have it too!” Junno exclaimed.
Ohkura immediately crawled towards the next closest person hear him. “Te-Tegoshi-kun…”
Tegoshi Yuya of NEWS looked up towards Ohkura rather blankly. The boy was horribly confused at the situation as he looked around the room in slight fear. “O-Ohkura…”
“Tegoshi has it too!” Ohkura exclaimed as Junno gave a small reluctant nod.
“What are these?” Tegoshi frowned as he grabbed on to what Ohkura was referring to. He began to attempt to pry it off, only to be stopped by a random… “M-Mickey M-Mouse?”
Johnny Kitagawa had entered the room in a Mickey Mouse costume followed by a line of soldiers. He did not want the boys to realize that their lives were being betrayed by their own boss. Yet he ignored that fact as he shook his glove and spoke confidently, knowing that a microphone was installed to alter his voice. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
Tegoshi immediately stopped as he let go of the metal ring. He then looked around, noticing that all the other boys were slowly regaining consciousness as well. “W-What are these?”
Mickey Mouse ignored Tegoshi’s question as he walked towards the center of the room. He snapped his fingers as the lights immediately turned on, revealing the location of the place the boys were located in.
“Can anyone tell me where we are?” Mickey Mouse asked.
“AH! MICKEY!” Yaotome Hikaru of Ya-Ya-Yah pointed in glee, only for a random soldier to glare at him, shutting the poor boy up immediately.
“It looks like a dungeon…” Sakurai Sho of Arashi frowned slightly.
“You are right! We are currently in the heart of Disneyland…” Mickey pointed. “…in Sleeping Beauty’s castle.”
Light murmurs were heard throughout the room.
“Now, I’m sure you all are wondering why you’re here in the first place instead of being out there, going on rides, blah blah blah, right?”
“YEAH! I CAME FOR DISNEYLAND! NOT THIS! WHATEVER THIS IS!” MatsuJun retorted as he glared at Mickey, making even Johnny feel slightly uncomfortable.
“Well…SURPRISE!” Mickey Mouse instructed a few soldiers to bring in a chart. On the chart was written…OPERATION: BATTLE ROYALE.
Loud gasps were heard throughout the room. Everyone knew what Battle Royale was. Everyone did go out and see the movie. Yet it was hard to believe that they would actually be placed in such a situation that was only made from fiction.
“I’m sure you’re all familiar with the process…you all go out one by one with a bag filled a map, food, water, flashlight, and a weapon. You will all be scattered throughout Disneyland and be forced to kill each other…the time limit is three days…and if there is no winner by the third day…everyone will die…”
Pairs of feet immediately scrambled towards the door in fear and disbelief. Only for the soldiers to back them down, giving threatening glares with their rifles.
“THIS IS BULLSHIT!” Nishikido Ryo cried out angrily as he glared back at the soldiers. “IS THIS A JOKE? IS THIS A FUCKING JOKE?”
“The winner of the game will be highly recognized for it shall be aired on television…I expect you all to do your best in the game…”
“NO WAY!” Jimmy Mackey immediately stood up from his seat as he lunged at Johnny in the Mickey Mouse costume. “YOU ARE FUCKING KIDDING ME YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! TRYING TO HIDE BEHIND THAT MICKEY MOUSE MASK LIKE A FUCKING COWARD-”
A loud shot was heard, silencing the room automatically.
Jimmy Mackey lied dead on the floor…blood oozing from the back of his head as a bullet hole could have been seen.
All the boys gaped at the scene with their mouths open. They could not believe what they had just witnessed. It was hard to believe that a person they have worked with for so long had been shot dead right before their eyes.
Tackey immediately grabbed Hikaru and Yabu, as he turned the younger boys’ heads away from the scene. Koyama did the same with Taiyo.
“See. It’s not a joke.” Mickey Mouse pointed at Jimmy. “Look, I already eliminated one person from the game…now you have one less person to worry about.”
“Bastard…” Yamapi glared at the Mickey Mouse costume.
“Huh, what was that?” Mickey turned to Yamapi.
“…” Yamapi remained silent as he continued to glare at the figure.
“Anyways, I’m sure you all have noticed the metal ring around your neck…” Mickey pointed at the neck. “Every six hours I will announce those who are deceased and the danger zones. The danger zones will be simple to remember considering that they are labeled by Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, etc. If you are caught in a danger zone, your collar will immediately explode, blowing your HEAD OFF.”
The last two words startled everyone as their eyes expanded at the thought.
“WELL THEN…” Mickey then took out a list of names. “You will each be leaving the room in alphabetical order…each being given a bag…I wish you all luck.”
“Boy number 1…Aiba Masaki…”
Aiba took one last glance at the rest of the boys in the room as he gave a weak nod. He reached for a bag as he frantically ran out of the room in fear. He could not believe what was going on…but considering he was the first to leave…did that give him an advantage? Aiba shook his head. He shouldn’t even consider such thoughts! Just what was he thinking?
“Boy number 2…Akanishi Jin…”
Jin could not take his eyes off of Jimmy’s limp body. He couldn’t help but feel guilty for his friend’s death…wishing that he could have done something to prevent it. Mixed emotions ran through Jin’s mind as he absentmindedly grabbed a bag and left the room. This was for real.
“Boy number 3…Ayukawa Taiyo…”
Taiyo reluctantly lifted up his head as he refused to let go of Koyama’s sleeve. Being the youngest in the room, he felt horribly terrified and scared to pieces. Taiyo immediately shut his eyes as he refused to move, only for a soldier to walk over and pry the boy apart.
“NO!” Taiyo screamed as the security of Koyama’s sleeve was no longer in his fingers. Tears appeared in Taiyo’s eyes as he helplessly accepted the bag; his long legs frantically running out of the room in hopes of finding a good place or security.
“Boy number 4…Imai Tsubasa…”
Tackey immediately reacted to the name as he worriedly looked at his partner. Tsubasa had a firm straight expression on his face as he stiffly walked over, retrieving a bag as he casually walked out of the room. Tsubasa was indeed scared. He always knew that something wasn’t right form the start…but he never expected this. Never.
“Boy number 5…oh wait, he’s dead.”
The room felt nauseating as the reek of Jimmy’s fresh blood stirred the nostrils of the boys in the room.
“Boy number 6…Kamenashi Kazuya…”
Kame bit his lips in anxiety as he looked at the other boys in the room. He gently squeezed Nakamaru’s arm, giving the other boy a small sad smile. Kame then received a bag as he walked out of the dungeon room; his body feeling heavy and in deep hopes of finding Jin.
“Boy number 7…Kato Shigeaki…”
Kato Shigeaki did not want to move from his position. However the penetrating glares of the soldiers around him forced his legs to rise and head towards where the bags were located. All he ever wanted was for a grand time in the happiest place on earth. Hah, the happiest…that was definitely a joke. Shige felt his knees grow weak as they shook rather furiously with each step he took. He then grabbed a bag, firmly clutching it with his arms as he ran out of the murky room. Disneyland was so overrated.
“Boy number 8…Koyama Keiichirou…”
Koyama had only one plan in mind and that was to never give up. For one thing, he agreed from the beginning that he would never participate in this game. He refused to. The boy found it disgusting for them to be placed in such a horrid situation and to be aired on national television…being treated so inhumanly. It was awful. At the moment all he wanted to do was to catch up with Shige. He decided that it would better if the two stuck together…it would definitely be better than being alone. He then also realized that Kusano would be coming in after…surely he had to wait for the other boy as well. After all, KKK should stick together…
“Boy number 9…Kusano Hironori…”
Kusano didn’t trust anyone. From the minute he entered Johnny’s Jimusho, he tried his best to gain attention from his seniors and achieve recognition, but the longer he stayed and trained and was placed in different sub groups…he learned that he could never get along with people quite well. Kusano grabbed a bag as he immediately sprinted out of the room in hopes of not making any contact with any people.
“Boy number 10…Maruyama Ryuhei…”
This was definitely no joke…yet Maruyama couldn’t help but be slightly amused at the situation they were placed in. He didn’t know where to laugh or cry…laugh because he used to joke around being in Battle Royale, pretending to kill the other members of Kanjani8…cry because he never dreamed of it to be real. Maruyama threw quick glances at his other Kansai friends as he slowly reached for a bag, leaving the room slowly…trying to forget the Battle Royale imitations he had made in the past.
“Boy number 11…Masuda Takahisa…”
Massu’s stomach growled. He regretted not eating the cookies that Ohno had offered him earlier, yet the sight of Jimmy made him want to puke at the thought of food. Massu once heard that Disneyland had some killer gumbo and he was really looking forward to try it out. All he wanted to do was eat killer gumbo…not be a killer. He would be actually thinking about the situation he was rolled into, but at the moment he couldn’t help but think about food and hoped that the food that was provided in the bad would be quite sufficient. Massu grabbed a bag as he hastily ran out of the room. Hunger called him.
“Boy number 12…Matsumoto Jun…”
MatsuJun coolly and collectively stood up from his seat. He glared at the Mickey Mouse figure as he snatched a bag from the soldier’s hands. His brain scattered with different thoughts as he personally did not know what to do yet hate the people who brought him into this situation. He couldn’t help but hate Mr. Johnny for tricking them into coming here…all he could do was just hate…
“Boy number 13…Nakamaru Yuichi…”
Nakamaru lifted his head in surprise. Thirteen…what an unlucky number. Nakamaru slowly stood up as he let out a small gulp. He then walked over, receiving a bag as he walked out of the room…not knowing what to expect once he steps out on to the premises.
“Boy number 14…Ninomiya Kazunari…”
Nino unwarily stood from his seat as he weakly looked at the remaining people in the room. The numbers were dwindling and he did not know what to expect from the outside world. Nino walked towards the bag location with a confident expression plastered on his face. He didn’t want to show the soldiers that he was some weak pussy. No…even though he was short…Ninomiya Kazunari was not a wuss…or so he would like to think.
“Boy number 15…Nishikido Ryo…”
Ryo walked rather slow, cool, and calm as he managed to hold a glare on his face, glaring at the Mickey Mouse costume and never forgiving him for killing off Jimmy. Yet Nishikido Ryo feared himself slightly not wanting to lose and succumb to such a game. He wanted to live very much…he had so much to accomplish in life yet the risk of dying was too high…the competition…Ryo shook his head. He should stop thinking. He abruptly grabbed a bag as he left the room. He would think outside.
“Boy number 16…Ohkura Tadayoshi…”
Ohkura felt weak and heavy as he felt the weight of the metal collar pulling him down. He wished so much to be out of such a situation as he forced himself to retrieve a bag. Ohkura clutched on to the bag tightly as he threw a look at Yasuda Shota before leaving the room…
“Boy number 17…oh, we are halfway down the list already…Ohno Satoshi…”
Ohno felt sick…really sick. He wished that he had not eaten so many cookies. And on top of the cookies, to sit through the smell of Jimmy’s dead carcass was rather unpleasant. In other words, Ohno was very close to puking, yet he refused to puke in front of the other guys. Being one of the oldest guys in the room…he didn’t want to set a demeaning example for the younger boys. Sweat appeared on Ohno’s forward as he reached for a bag and left the room…holding on to his stomach…he felt queasy indeed.
All he needed was fresh air.
“Boy number 18…Sakurai Sho…”
Sho noticed his leader’s strange sick behavior. After all, he did warn him to not eat so many cookies, yet his leader did not listen. Sho frowned as he rose from his seat…reaching out for a bag. He snatched the bag angrily as he ran out of the room, in hopes of finding his leader and seeing that he would be okay. Sho did not want to lose to this game.
“Boy number 19…Shibutani Subaru…”
Unbeknownst to Johnny, Subaru had been staring at him the entire time. Subaru sat in an Indian style position on the floor; his dark eyes penetrating through the Mickey Mouse outfit, wondering who on earth could possibly be behind that mask. At the call of his name, Subaru stood up to receive his bag, yet he did not pull his eyes away from Mickey. Even Mr. Johnny felt slightly uncomfortable, feeling Subaru’s strong gaze upon him. Subaru then took one last look as he made his exit.
“Boy number 20…Shingo Murakami…”
Shingo bit his lips in fear as he scattered up from the floor. His whole body felt numb as he anticipated the call of his name. Shingo walked over as he grabbed a bag and left the room. He did not know what to expect at all, but for one thing he wanted to live…to just live…
“Boy number 21…Taguchi Junnosuke…”
Junno never really trusted people much either. Yet he couldn’t help but feel fear and uncertainty roll through his mind. The boy began to feel a bit paranoid, naming people who can trust and who he can’t trust in his brain. Junno stood up reluctantly as he reached out for a bag…the uncertainty continued to linger in his mind…
“Boy number 22…Takizawa Hideaki…”
Tackey glared at the Mickey Mouse costume, as he gave Yabu’s and Hikaru’s shoulders a squeeze. He then reluctantly pushed the two younger boys aside as he headed towards the bag location. Tackey grabbed a bag as he walked up to the Mickey Mouse costume, giving the figure a dark glare. He then gave Yabu and Hikaru a wistful nod as he left the room.
Johnny shook Tackey’s impression from his mind as he continued to read the list. “Boy number 23…Tanaka Koki…”
Koki was scared shitless. He came rather excitedly, feeling happy to be given a break to play at his favorite amusement park. Yet the happy feeling that was once there had suddenly vanished…leaving only darkness and despair to take place. Vast tears of fear appeared in Koki’s eyes. No matter how manly he appeared, dealing with a life and death situation was something that Koki couldn’t be calm and manly about. All he wanted was to play…just to play…
Yet he couldn’t help but wonder…would the rides still be on during the game?
“Boy number 24…Tegoshi Yuya…”
Tegoshi Yuya whimpered slightly. He was the one person who did not stay at Johnny’s Jimusho as long as most of the other members. So Tegoshi was often babied and taken care of by the older members…more particularly by Nishikido Ryo and Koyama Keiichirou. Tegoshi did not know how he was going to make it through the game…alone. All he wanted was guidance. Oh and he wanted Massu too. Massu was one person he would be able to trust.
“Boy number 25…Uchi Hiroki…”
Uchi felt his thin body stiffens as his whole body began to shake. He weakly reached over for a bag as looked at the remaining crowd. He exchanged glances with Yamapi, Yoko, and Yasuda as he wondered what thoughts ran through their heads. Uchi took one last breath as he walked out the doors, feeling horribly insecure.
“Boy number 26…Ueda Tatsuya…”
Without exchanging any glances, Ueda silently raised form his seat as he immediately walked over to the bag location. He hastily grabbed a bag as he clutched the bag upon his breast and ran out of the room. Ueda was terribly frightened. But he wasn’t frightened by the fact that he was placed in such a game. He was more frightened by the thought of betrayal and deaths that may ensue…he couldn’t stand the thought of it…after all, it was hard for Ueda to trust. Very hard.
“Boy number 27…Yabu Kota…”
Yabu bit his lips as he glanced at his remaining band members, Shoon and Hikaru. Yabu stared at the soldiers that surrounded them as he couldn’t help but be reminded of the days when he and the rest of Ya-Ya-Yah were to play the game of Onigokko. He remembered that there were certain times when soldiers were instructed to find them instead of Onis. Yabu would always be delighted to hear that they would be filming Onigokko because it was such a fun game to play, but this…Yabu didn’t want this. Yabu formed a fist as he grabbed a bag and stormed out of the room. He would not be weak…he would not be weak…he would not lose against the Onis.
“Boy number 28…Yamashita Shoon…”
Shoon watched as Yabu left the room. He knew exactly what Yabu was thinking for he had the same thoughts as well. He glared at the shoulders surrounded them as he took a glance at Hikaru who sat beside him. He gave Hikaru a light pat on the back as he stood up to accept a bag and leave the room. Shoon decided that he would rely on his fast legs…for he really did not want to play the game.
“Boy number 29…Yamashita Tomohisa…”
Yamapi knew that he would be one of the last to leave. During the whole time he waited for the call of his name, he had been thinking of methods to win against the game. He believed that there had to be a solution to allow the boys of Johnny Jimusho to escape this horrid nightmare with no deaths involve. Yamapi looked at Jimmy’s dead body apologetically…wishing that he could turn back time and save Jimmy as well, but Yamapi decided that he would try his best to save as many as he can. He refused to lose against the game. He would definitely win it.
“Boy number 30…Yaotome Hikaru…”
Hikaru was also reminded of the Onigokko games. Yet he remembered that he had never won one game. The thought of losing scared the boy as he feared that he would face a similar fate in this game. Hikaru frowned anxiously as he shook his head. The situation was serious…it was for real…it was not a mere game…it was life or death. He weakly reached for a bag as he left the room…in fear.
“Yoko…” Yasuda Shota gave his band member a weak smile. “I-I’m scared.”
“M-Me too.” Yokoyama replied honestly as the two were the only ones left in the room.
“Boy number 31…Yasuda Shota…”
“He called me…” Yasuda felt unwanted to tears appear in his eyes. He hated this. He did not want to play at all. He’d rather die than ever take part in such a filthy game. Yasuda sat in his seat, not wanting to move at all. In fact, he did not move. Yasuda grabbed on to Yokoyama’s arm tightly, not wanting to let go.
“Get up boy!” A soldier pushed Yasuda back with the end of his gun as Yasuda fell backwards. The boy began to cry uncontrollably as the sight of Yasuda’s tears broke Yoko’s heart.
“Y-Yassan…” Yokoyama couldn’t help but feel tears of his own to build up, only to watch the soldier push Yasuda down. The soldier firmly placed a gun at Yasuda’s head.
“If you want to live, you will participate!” The soldier shouted.
“NO! NO! I WON’T PLAY!” Yasuda screamed as tears rolled down the side of his face.
“IF YOU WON’T PLAY I’LL SHOOT YOU!” The soldier cried out causing Yasuda to cry even harder. This alarmed Yoko greatly as he quickly ran to Yasuda’s side.
“Yassan! LISTEN TO ME!” Yokoyama grabbed Yasuda’s arm as he felt the other boy tremble violently. He refused to watch another person be shot right before his eyes. “PLAY THE GAME.”
Yasuda looked at Yokoyama in surprise as Yokoyama gave Yasuda a gentle smile. “…please?”
Yasuda began to hiccup as he wiped the unwanted tears away from his eyes. He gave a small reluctant nod as he weakly grabbed a bag, scrambling out of the room. Yasuda had never been so close to death in his life…ever. Yet he understood what Yoko meant…there had to be a way to escape from the game…there just had to be…
Yokoyama felt his heart beat rapidly as he collapsed on the floor. He was just relieved that Yasuda was still alive and breathing. He couldn’t stand to lose his friend. Yet he felt horribly uncomfortable being alone in the room, surrounded by soldiers and an unknown man in a Mickey Mouse costume.
Yokoyama Yu never imagined that Mickey Mouse could actually be, well, considered as scary. As a child he grew up watching Mickey Mouse cartoons, visiting Disneyland from time to time and practically loving the guy…Mickey was basically his best buddy…or was…
“Boy number 32…Yokoyama Yu…”
Yokoyama stood from his seat, his heart still pounding uncontrollably from the incident that occurred before. He grabbed the last bag remaining as he headed towards the door, taking one last look at the unknown stranger in the Mickey Mouse costume.
“Thanks for destroying my childhood.”
The game had BEGUN.

A/N: I KNOW. I STARTED A NEW FIC. OH NO WOE TO ME. I blame my brain cuz truthfully I always wanted to write a parody Battle Royale/Jyannis fic (I'm sure people who read my "Painful Realities" fic should know that) and today my brain got mad at me for writing "Love at First Sight" before starting on this.
Yeah I'm like having a war in my brain.
and gawddamnit, I still have a RyoTego/Massubation porn plot bunny in my head too.
But thass not the point of my author's note. The point is...I NEED HELP FROM YOU GUYS!!! YES! YOU! KIMI!
I'm probably not going to update this fic as frequently as I'll update "Love at First Sight" (which is like aproximately every other day) because I personally want the readers to tell me who they want booted off. I want you guys to comment with WHO YOU WANT OUT. Because if I were to choose the order of deaths, I'm probably gonna be bias and make Kusano win. Thass kinda unfair, huh? XD So I want you guys to tell me who you think should go out and yes you can be bias, but be somewhat practically.
Oh yeah and don't spam me anonymously voting off for one character. I'll just ignore your spam. D:
I'll really appreciate it if you guys can help me. I'll leave the voting up for a few days and see who's being hated at the moment and like write the next death chapter on that.
Thanks for reading, and I hope some of you will choose to go on this journey with me. (I KNOW. THAT SOUNDED SO CORNY. D:)
Oh yeah and in order to prevent spam, from Chapter 2 and on, I'm just going to post in
jent_fanfics because I don't want to drive everyone's flist crazy. So if you're interested in keeping up with the fic and not in
jent_fanfics, care to friend this journal? Lol you can unfriend when I finish it.
Oh yeah and if your a Jimmy fan....:X SORRIE.
