So I've begun playing
The Nightjar, which is Wrigley Gum's promotional iphone game, and I'm having a lovely time being ordered about by Benedict Cumberbatch. It's made by the people who did
Papa Sangre, which is an audio game where you try to navigate your way through mazes with just your hearing (and of course the iphone to walk). The Nightjar is essentially the same except that the setting is that you're stuck in the spaceship The Nightjar and it's set to detonate and being sucked into a black hole and your mates have left you there to die (bastards). Meanwhile BC's character tries to help you navigate your way to survival. I've just started, but I'm going to guess that it isn't very long. We shall see....
It is a lot of fun and reminds me of that fifth level attraction at Joypolis in Odaiba.
It's called
生き人形の間 which is "The Room of the Living Dolls". They setup the story while walking you through various creepy halls which ultimately lead you to the room with dolls, a long table and a life-sized doll at the head of the table. We are all seated around the table and given headphones. Oh god, the 3-D sound is amazing. When one of the characters is talking you feel like she's walking behind you, and when she talks in your ear the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It gets even creepier when she brandishes scissors and proceeds to cut your hair. OH GOD! It is so fucking creepy!!
As for the rest of my life? Well, Asuka is making coherent words and sentences. O_O The most understandable are: "I don't like that" and the lyrics to Friday. *dies*
