Majotachi no Nemuri/Light Fantasy 2 Pics

First, I thought it might be cool to actually show some pictures of the two games I talked about last time. Here's some of the scenes from Majotachi no Nemuri:

The Village Police Station

The Spooky Forest

The Hokora (small shrine) in the Forest

There aren't that many interesting images in the game, which is why it will probably never get (fan)translated. There is one image of a dead girl and another of a vampire's face, but I decided not to post them here because they might freak someone out. As far as I can tell, there are no images of Lovecraftian monsters or evil cults, so if you want that, go play Clock Tower or Silent Hill 3. (On another note, the game's music is really spooky, but it's no 7th Guest.) Honestly, I'd love to do a text translation of this game, but it's too difficult because any one choice you make can turn the plot in a completely different direction. Alas, if I only had a hacker...But enough of that. On with Light Fantasy 2!

Mermaid Doll--------Thief---------Gambler-------Fighter--------Cat-----------Hero---------Bunny Girl

I'm not kidding. The first picture really is of a wind-up mermaid doll. She's made by this mad scientist guy who has a thing for mermaids, and you can invite her into your party later in the game. I'll try and get some pictures of the Pac-man people; they look sooo cute! ^_^ I wish more RPGs were like this game. The plot is actually pretty unique, with a bit of generic stuff here and there. It's got a couple of nice cut scenes, too!

Last night Dan and I watched the MST3K episode, "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders," and I laughed so hard I almost shot Pepsi out of my nose. x.x The film is absolutely awful, not just in the sense that is sucks, but also because it's Ernest Borgnine telling this little kid all these scary stories about Satan working through Merlin's magic items. It made for a hella funny episode, though. The interview with Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy was kinda unnerving though, because they talked about how much work went into each show, and my fiance has plans about doing an MST3K-inspired show in the near future, with a little help from me and his friends. I think it's a great excuse to dress up in a bathrobe and a lobster hat and make fun of crappy movies, but I don't want to work 14-hour days. Althogh, if it does get picked up by a network, it'll sure as hell beat having a real job. ^_^
