First things first on the matter my past couple entries have been over, enough time has passed that I've come to terms with my decision and am satisfied I made the right one. Still feel a few pangs of guilt periodicaly, but they aren't nearly as strong as they used to be.
.....Kinda helped when he made a post on my Facebook WALL where ANYONE could see about how he didn't think he could stay friends with me when I couldn't make time DURING FINALS WEEK to spend one last day with him when the only reason I even had time for SYLVIA was because I LIVE WITH HER! I had to even cancel plans with KIT because I was determined to ACTUALLY GRADUATE (which score I passed Italian! I officially graduated!!!).
...Yeah, that left a bitter taste in my mouth. Why do you ask?
In any case I'm back at home. Hired back at the Deli (and they didn't take me out of the system! Whoot for no paperwork!) but I don't start until Sunday, but hey, I've got income and can start saving for when I move out rather than just relying on my current $500 plus grad money I got from a few relatives.
I've definately made up my mind about heading up north as soon as I can though. I don't think I'm as RAWR!URGENT as Tiffy was about getting up to New York, but I definately don't want to linger in Texas any longer than I have to, especialy since teaching is looking more and more interesting to me. With Texas being as low ranking on education as it is and more cuts on it's way.......yeah, don't wanna get caught up in that DX
But actualy getting said job is still proving a little tricky. I mean, it's best as if I'd be there in person for interviews right? But I'm not ready to move up there yet and...yeah....not to mention most of the jobs I'm finding online are in Boston and as my mom points out, Boston IS a big city (note to those who don't know: I've got a bit of a fear of large cities).
But moving onto somewhat better things, the pack rat is actualy getting rid of stuff!! It started as simply making room for getting all my college stuff back inside (seriously, the only reason you could tell I wasn't living here most of the year was that my bed was missing...that's IT) but now it's also clearing out and getting rid of stuff since most of it is going to have to come with me when I do move. Mom's already said she's more than fine with keeping some stuff here that I can't take right away, but the bulk of it's got to go. So there's been a lot of trashing of stuff and piling up stuff for Mom to put in garage sales and then another pile of stuff I'm going to be trying to sell online (namely geeky stuff that I know I can get a better price for somewhere other than a garage sale).
....Speaking of, anyone know where I could sell a sword?
Errands were fun though today...got me out of the house. Got my cello tuned up (I want to brush up on playing it this summer) and dropped my bow off to be repaired at String and Horn and sold some things at Half Price and Game Stop....and was reminded why I hate selling things at Game Stop DX Sold five DS games, one of which was still knew and shrink wrapped and only got $6-$7 for all of them...wish I had known before hand that FX had moved and where they moved to, or at least that I just didn't sell them and held onto them until I had a chance to run back out to FX.....meh, at least I used the few bucks to get a bit of a discount on Kevin's belated birthday present.
The disapointing selling errands were more than made up for with my stop at the library. I swear I went in for two books ONLY...well...three but one was checked out so I put it on hold. But seems like some authors were busy while I was in school, so I ended up with a stack of seven + 2 reserves.
