Finally. Finally got the chairs reupholstered.
This was the beige chair I had picked up at the Salvation Army,
The old Conant Ball chair, which was rescued from the fire (here it is, on it's side, right after the fire pictured):
Other house stuff: John is finally getting the storage cabinet at the top of the attic stairs well under way. We are crushed for storage up there, especially since the removal of the chimney eliminated two closets, which we opted to not replace so we could have larger rooms. Still working on my office, which is slowly becoming Studio Central for the online clothing thing.
Some pictures of clothes to upload:
I've started physical therapy and expect to be back at work sometime at the end of the first week of May. In the meantime, I've been keeping busy (if not terribly physically so) around the house. D is chipping in with the furniture, refinishing the legs on the Conant Ball chair, painting various parts, and sanding down the hoop chair in preparation for painting and re-covering.
Peace reigns supreme. In fact, the whole house feels calmer since I've been home. The cats seem happier, more content and fight less. D is more relaxed when he heads out to work, since he doesn't have to run around the house worrying if there's something plugged in, a fire hazard of some kind lurking in the shadows...he almost hopes that I'll be laid off since we don't really need the money, but are clearly tied to having the full medical benefits my job provides. If only Obama's health reform would happen sooner. I might be in a position to leave my job completely, working for myself. We'll see...
