Man, what a week. First Gary Gygax died, which I found to be pretty sad. Not because it was an ill-timed death (the man was in his late 60s) but simply because it's always sad to see the elder statesman of your hobby go. He was a titan of gaming, we all stand on his shoulders. Well his and Dave Arneson, but he's still alive so he'll have to wait.
Friday was my final chemo session. On the 19th I go in for my radiation therapy consultation, then sometime in April the final act of this thing called cancer will begin. I'm not letting myself feel like it's /over/ (simply because I've been disappointed before) but it does feel like progress and progress feels pretty fucking good when you've been sick every other weekend since September.
