a fav' word! and there are worse mental states, methinks.

Shame about the Philippino food! what do you eat? Even the rice is not as divine as was expected?

Where to go next? I'd suggest Israel, but even I don't take myself too seriously about that. Burma should be lovely (but has no internet, I heard once...). Mongolia? for even more horrible food? Mustang?

Miss. And sorry to hear about the dreaded ants! Kill 'em all. Or better yet, train a cormorant to do that, and then have him choke on them or something..

Right, I completely forgot about the no-Internet-in-Burma thing. I just knew there was a reason why not to go there (-:

The rice, well, you know, Asian rice...the real test is when I get to the biggest paddy fields in the world! we'll see how it tastes there (Remember Long Sahn's divinity?)
A few days ago I danced the "rice terrace" dance, with long sticks that click on the floor and on each other. The purpose is to jump above them; was fun yet scary in a way. Plus, I found out my name in Japanese means "sleep rice". Is that me or what?

Sleep Rice Indeed :-) kakapo July 15 2006, 22:14:05 UTC
Tamar, if I remember correctly is Long-something in Chinese, which is a dragon's eye?

Do report about the rice when you get there. Gargeranit :-)

I am about to start mastering the art of the Eastern cuisine - focusing on papayas and various interesting sauces. Made this mixed veggie+pineapple dish today, which came out so Chinese it caught me by surprise. Even the smell was just right. And it had bamboo shoots in it, which always makes me feel like a panda.

Oh, and you are missed. But, while you are learning how to be a warrior out there, I am killing cockroaches almost as effortlessly as Keren jumping on them. Which, I believe, is a sure act of bravery and calm.

Dear Co-fighter Ninja,

The typhoon is finally gone, yet we found our selves training in a mall, under a large sign spelling: "Live entertainment".
Apperently the mall owners are part of the sponsors...so I am not so sure regarding the roughing it in the rain factor...training under harsh circumstances might be considered as us trying to block out all the mall racket, I guess...Next week we go back to training outside (I hope).

Your phrase: "You were born a warrior, not made one by silly belts" had given me strength and inspiration throughout the whole day. I was fighting with a stick like there was no tomorrow! Tal called me feisty and even the UK bloke said we worked well together (while he is definitely one of the best).

My body aches like hell. I found out I have muscles in my arm I didn't even know exist. I am trying to learn all the cool stick tricks I have no clue as to even how to approach.

Must have more of this warrior training!

Intensive Training rocks. It gets you going to places you never thought you were capable of - that's why I love it, I think.
Go on, Egypt Princess, and learn all that they can teach you there, on the other side.
We will remain here, hopefully, awaiting your return.

K.
