To get the quickest response, try to PM a moderator who is actively moderating the community you are having issues with (so don’t PM an EGL-only mod with sales comm issues, and vice versa).
In order to ensure a quick response to your PMs, please contact mods who have their status listed as "available". Those mods on haitus

First off I want to say, of course, thank you all for all your hard work!
I notice (because I notice things) often people fudging the rules, usually out of a misunderstanding or whatnot, things like reposting less than 4 weeks and without a full 20% reduction.
I've tried commenting in the anonymous report center and PMing mods but it usually doesn't get addressed fast enough or at all. I know I've commented on a post once or twice but I really don't like doing that because 1.) it comes off as rude and 2.) I don't want to step on your toes.
Is there anything that can be done to address the situation? I know you guys have lives and can't be accessible 100% of the time.
Thanks for any consideration you can give this, and thank you for your time!
Hi ^^ Generally, I think the ARC works pretty well, but I do agree it could be dealt with quicker - I will have to double check *all* the mods have it set so they get emails when someone posts there. I can see you have posted in there once and what you posted did get dealt with. So it is appreciated and does seem to work.
Hopefully the mod hours of availability will make things a little easier. I pretty much always get an email while I am sleeping about some argument which is why you will notice I am often a bit 'late to the party' but there isn't much more we can do in regards that.
If it's in the ARC, it will always be addressed XD My LJ e-mail notifications have been wonky and I haven't had much computer access lately, though, so while I can't speak for other mods I have to manually check the page when I can get online- which isn't much, sadly.
Anyways, I'd recommend trying to PM a mod who's online when you're having an issue- while we may be online, we're not always checking the ARC and we may not be actively passing posts through the moderation queue, so problems might be going on that we just don't see. If you PM us to let us know that there's an issue, we'll be able to help out and not be, to quote laiferr, late to the party and get to an issue after posts have been deleted or users have flounced :)
I just wanted to add that I've used the ARC before too and have also experienced that the problem often takes a few days to be resolved or to receive a reply. The only reason I wanted to mention it is because it says 'The first available mod will deal with your concern and leave a comment about the action taken that can be read by both yourself and the rest of the moderation team
( ... )
In my opinion, 3 days is a reasonable amount of time. You have to bear in mind that we do get busy and even if we do check stuff and deal with it, we might not reply to your comment very quick or at all (I've been guilty of forgetting to reply :x) Also, we do fairly often have group discussions about issues posted to the ARC, so it takes a while due to time zones to wait for a good amount of mods to reply or the discussion to conclude.
Like I said I do realise that it can take a while for stuff to get dealt with so I will double check everyone is watching it ^^ but, as a rule of thumb, I would say if it's been more than a week PM an active mod.
Great, thanks! I don't really have an idea of what goes on behind the scenes, which is why I was curious, but it's certainly reassuring to know that you guys are taking care of everything thoroughly! I could definitely see how different time zones and group discussions could take a few days to come to a conclusion, and I appreciate you explaining it this way. I have even more respect for the work you guys do for us now :D
I have a really hard time telling a certain time of availability. It depends on my university schedule, and that is different for each day of the week, so I don't really have a definite availability time. :< I'm online for about an hour before leaving the house in the morning, sometimes during the day, depending on whether I have a hole in my schedule or not, and for about 2 hours in the evening. Saturday and sunday I'm available almost the whole day on and off, except when I'm out with friends or my husband.
Mods, I'm not sure where else to post this as I have tried PMing two EGLFeedback only mods who are both available but have not heard anything back from them (and it's been a week since the first mod, and half a week for the second). Is there anything I'm doing incorrectly? I've even checked 'suspicious messages' just in case it got filtered there and nothing.
Hiya, actually my issue was that at the time none of my feedback has been actually added/approved (sellers have left some feedback for me, but the tally at the top was not updated at all)- thankfully this has been sorted out. :D Thank you!
Hi! I was just wondering how long it approximately takes for one's feedback page to be created? Thank you. :) ...I hope I put in all the correct information! D:
