I'm sure people will come in and give you actual quote reviews, but as food for thought, you get what you pay for. 80 dollars for a coat is cheap even by non-Lolita standards. My Liz Lisa coat from last year cost 160 bucks and wasn't warm (then again most coats sold by gyaru brands aren't). Even my Express peacoat from high school was like 150 bucks. 80 dollars for a coat will not get you quality, IMO. To add to that it being a Lolita coat and that's like the equivalent of getting a 30 dollar regular coat (if you even can find one). My personal opinion is that Bodyline being a costume company and not a real clothing designer brand, their clothes are meant to play dress up in, not to wear regularly as real clothes. As such, I doubt it will be warm but if others have a different experience then I'll stand corrected. As for quality, nothing Bodyline makes is of good quality. Their materials are cheap. For a pannier or shoes or a blouse that's okay but for a coat you might regret it. :/ Why not get a brand coat used, instead? I bought two ( ... )

I disagree. We don't even know how warm she needs her coat to be. I live in California, last year I bought a non-Lolita coat from Target for around $50. That things kept me toasty all winter, even when my family visited the snowy areas to go sledding, it never let me down. It's quality certainly held up for the price and then some, since it's not as though it's falling apart now and will more than hold up for a few more seasons.

Not to mention, Bodyline sells costumes AND regular clothing. Tons of Lolitas wear their clothing as actual daywear and not simply to play fairy dress-up, so it's a bit rude to state otherwise. Yes, their materials are cheaper than brand and not as detailed, I'm not denying that. But you're acting as though Bodyline is going to tear at the seams within a day. You're statement that NOTHING Bodyline makes it of good quality is outright false, so please stop spreading this rumor.

Ah, I think that's an important distinction: some of their clothes are cosplay, some are lolita clothing. I guess in the eyes of some people, you might understand how they might not draw the same distinction (after all, many people wouldn't walk into a Halloween costume shop and expect to find clothes that they could wear on a daily basis). So in a way, you can see how people might walk past a shop, see some costumes in the window, and assume everything inside is a costume without going in.

Sorry, not trying to start drama. It just seems like people are getting really upset about this issue, but I think there's just some misunderstanding from different parties. :/

Check out Fan Plus Friend. My friend has a coat from there that looks awesome and she says it's nice and warm. She's really picky, so from her it's very high praise.
Not all of their coats have good designs, though. So don't get discouraged when the first couple ones on their site look dumb!

I have a coat from F+F that was $200 and said "thick wool" and only has one layer of thin wool and a satiny lining. Most of my boyfriends "jackets" are warmer.

Oh, that sucks. It's not very cold where I live most of the time, so I don't really know how warm her coat is.

I don't own a coat from bodyline, but friends told me, that they are good for fall (in colder areas) and that they preffer F+F's coats for winter :)
If you like to order from bodyline and "80$ are too much", use this trick ;) http://parva-alaudidae.tumblr.com/post/44262508649/bodyline-tip-get-bodyline-orders-for-cheaper it saves you a lot of money if you pay in yen!

Eep! I used that trick lol! It saved me about 20 bucks. I chose to go with EMS ( it was the same price as air in american money) And it should be here within a few days. Im thinking about doing a review when it gets here.

Hi there! I have the L095 in pink (bought it second hand). I really like this coat! It's made of a pretty thick material, and doesn't let any wind through. Another nice thing about it, as with most Lolita coats, is the length. Having a long coat that covers the tops of your legs and your bottom is extremely nice! Also, I typically don't wear this with a petticoat, and just wear it on my campus over my "civvies", lol. It looks fine both ways. :)

That being said, I'm from Minnesota, where things can get very cold, and very snowy. This coat will not get me through the whole winter, I'll eventually need to switch to something warmer. I think this is going to be true with all of bodyline's coats (and probably many brand coats too). I'd say that this coat works well until the temperature drops between 30 and 40 F? (Although this rating'll vary between people.) If the temperature where you are only goes down to around 50F, I'd say you'll be just fine ( ... )
