Fun With Bonnets
This is my my first post here, so, hajemimashite, minna-san! I'm actually here to ask for some help. >.< I did have a check through the memories etc, but nothing really came up.
You see, I'm studying fashion design, and we're currently doing a print project, but we also have to make an accesory as part of that. Since I'm studying with the aim of (eventually, post-university) opening my own burando, I wanted to make a Lolita accesory. And my favourite Lolita accesory? Bonnets.
Of course, when I showed my one of my tutors some Lolita bonnets (AP's Chess Chocolate bonnet and IW's Priscilla bonnet, to be precise), her immediate reaction was "wtf are you doing making a Bo Peep costume?". It's understandable, since she's never encountered it before (I've certainly never seen anything remotely Lolita in my area of the country, or indeed much further South than Camden), but it means I now have to prove to her that Lolita is a legitimate fashion, and not costume.
Basically what I'm saying is that I need your best Lolita street snaps, with bonnets especially appreciated (Chess Chocolate would be very useful), to use in my project because, obviously, I can't just pull them off of daily_lolita without permission. If you would be so kind to send a picture or two, along with an outfit rundown and how you'd like to be credited, I will be eternally grateful.
