It's really hard to give one's honest opinion without it being taken as criticism...so I agree with this comment.

I really love the background on the first one, even if it didn't come out the way you wanted it to.

I like your coordinates! Cute ideas!

And I'm sorry for the people above whom are not respecting your wishes regarding critism.

It's not that we don't respect her wishes, read more carefully.

No one said her drawings are bad, it was questioned 'if you do not wish to receive criticism, how does publicly posting them help you improve as an artist?'

Not respecting her wishes would be to criticise her whether she likes it or not. Nobody is doing that - we're just saying that some criticism might even be useful.

She asked for no criticism and others are questioning the request. IMHO that's disregarding her wishes.

But..if you look in the EGL profile, it clearly states:

Please be courteous to other members.

Be polite in offering constructive criticism and respect the wishes of those who ask for constructive criticism. Please do not post about any off-site drama, inflammatory off topic ranting, or moderation issues. If the latter arises, please contact a moderator or admin directly. If something related to egl occurs off-site, please refer to this guide detailing what you can do yourself or with the help of LJ abuse to ebtter handle the situation. In addition, posts containing explicit nudity, blatant pornography or profuse obscenities will be deleted without warning.

Respect the wishes of those who ask for it. I asked for no crit, I know artists need constructive criticism, but I feel as if I always get it, and never any positive reenforcement. That's all.

Well the reason I left that is because last time a few of the crits were problems I was already aware of. I guess I was scared of people being harsh on me, so that's why I requested for no criticism

They look like dwarves/midgets/hobbits/halfings/gnomes. The proportions are very off for a normal human or anime style.

Is your intent for the viewer to see them as that? Or are you trying for a realistic human figure?

I can see how some of them may look like that, but the first 2-3 pics I don't see it. I'm not intending for them to look like midgets or whatever. I'm trying to practice proportion. I don't want to draw them unrealistically tall, I want to draw them short..I'm short as well so. I dunno looking in some manga many characters appear this way, but they are not.

Anyway I'm just practicing so. *_*

It might be that their heads are too big.
