I totally wasn't expecting you to find time to read this until you got back from your trip, so yay!
Me neither, LOL, but it was certainly at the top of my list. Next on my list is trying to catch up with yumi-michiyo's stuff...seeing as I think she's updated both her fics in the last few days.
For some reason with Miroku and Sango I have lots of ideas that I haven't seen in very many other fics, if at all, but I don't have that with any of the other characters.
Probably because that's just exactly it - not as many people have been writing Mir/San as Inu/Kag or Sess/Kag or whatever. Less people writing = not as many cliches and badfic. It's hard to get the big pairing ships to feel fresh, but really, all you can do is attempt to stay true to their characters. Even cliches can be rewritten in a satisfying way =)
Thanks, and congrats to you, too! Perhaps you should take your nomination as a oh so subtle, especially with this comment coming from me hint that you ought to write more Mir/San sometime. :D
*shifts eyes* Uh, actually...in my trawling through the prompt comms in search of a home for Allegiance, I came across a few tables that looked ripe for a Mir/San claim...and if I finish Fleeting anytime in the near future (as I hope to), I'm probably going to attempt said claim as my next 'big' project further pushing my Ouran claim to the side all the while *epic facepalm*.
Oh god, I just realized that next quarter's going to be even harder, what with Absolution, Eight-Fold Path, and Rokujou all being eligible, and all three being among my favorite fics...
I can pretty much guarantee one of her many fanpoodles will nominate Eight Fold Path ;) and probably Absolution as well, unless it manages to win the category this time around. Believe me, there are plenty of us fangirls to go around, and make sure the good stuff is rightfully nominated! :D
