*excited* Yay update!

Will send a review your way in a minute...

As for the IYFG noms, you're very welcome (you nommed my work too).

I was happy to nominate your fic. I love your stories, and intend to nominate more in the future, both at the IYFG and Eiko, unless someone beats me to it. :D The only downside to all this awesome Mir/San fic is that it's so hard to pick just one to nominate and vote for come awards time...

Tell me about it. I've left voting all the way to the last minute because I'm dreading so much voting for just one...

:D Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I always struggle with the Inu/Kag portions (my Inu/Kag is pastede on yay!)... it's very reassuring to know that it doesn't come off that way to my readers. And of course I couldn't resist an opportunity for more angst. It's just too much fun.

(Now you've got me contemplating the next chapter already. And reincarnation. XD)

Reincarnation? I love playing with that but for some reason it brings out the Inuyasha/Kikyou/Kagome triangle.

Mmmm... angst. The bunnehs have been active, I've been drafting the first chapter of the Slayercest so it was kind of cool that you promised some Kohaku angst *evil smirk*

-kicks the weird, half-finished Mir/San reincarnation fic she's been ignoring for almost a year-

Nothing to see here. Just my attempt at up-ending all the tropes of reincarnation fic, that may see the light of day sometime in the distant future. LOL

I've been drafting the first chapter of the Slayercest

Incest usually squicks the hell out of me, but for some reason Kohaku/Sango squicks me out in a good way (Have you ever read Sango's Bones?). XD I'm really looking forward to reading this.

*pulls it out of the dark corner you kicked it in*

When you say something like that, I get excited 'cos it's gonna be good. *winks* Hope the distant future is a lot nearer than it seems...

Have you ever read Sango's Bones?
*twitches madly* OMG, I couldn't sleep properly for a week after reading it, I was too disturbed. But in a good, creative way :D It's so beautifully wrong and sick. But the Slayercest was inspired by Wheezambu's Brittle which is also a Miroku/Sango/Kohaku triangle (you have to squint, but it's there)

-shifty look- It's probably not going to help matters if I say that stylistically it's a lot like Shattered Strength, is it? Maybe I'll dig it out after work today and see if there's anything I can do with it.

You're the first person I've found that's actually read it (without me pointing them in that direction)! That story will probably always be on my list of recommendations, filed under "This is how you do dark and sick and wrong."

It's been far too long since I read that one... Yay, more stuff to do after work today! :D

Wow, really? I'll admit it is rather obscure, I found it while trawling the Inu Kaidan recommendation list. I forgot about it for a while while I was on a sappy, sweet fluff kick but it stuck in my brain.

Oh. Hehe. So I sort of did point you that way... I'm the one that submitted it to their rec list, though I also submitted a number of other stories that were deemed to be "not dark enough" despite being every bit as dark as that one, though not necessarily as disturbing. (Scribe Figaro's There Was A Ship comes to mind, as does another, but I'm blanking on the title right now.)

Who writes that one? It sounds so familiar...

Apparently someone going by "nhn". -shrugs- For some reason the author bio page isn't working for me, so I can't tell you any more than that.

I have read this before! *shudder* It's so unbelievably dark, but beautiful in its own right - I don't know what to make of it.
