End of Summer 07

I’ve had a great summer. My two Economics research projects went quite well. The professors were pleased with my work and I actually enjoyed it despite the fact that it was slave/bitch work. For the more financial project I got skilled enough that I could zone out and listen to music while I did my job. I was only cutting and pasting times into a spreadsheet, so I was still able to work well. The project on decentralization, which is the process of giving local governments more money and power, was actually interesting. I might want to try to create a publishable paper on this topic for an independent study or honors project someday. And I made some money this summer, which was nice as well. I had a lot of fun in the summer dorms as well. I have some new friends and I enjoy cooking now. So I think I’ll be quite content in Ludwell not having a meal plan, where I’ll have a whole kitchen practically to myself. I’ve been relaxing at my home in the mountains of Charlottesville, Virginia since I completed my research projects. I read this Christian theology book that was well-written and the 7th Harry Potter, which was obviously well-written as well. I’m looking forward to coming back to school and seeing all my William and Mary friends!
