I wanted to wear it for Halloween, since I last wore it in August for my sisters wedding. But the damn thing was missing, and I turned the regular places inside out hoping to find it.
My story is that my husband should have cleaned the garage much sooner, though understandably he's reluctant to admit it.
Eeh! But you know what they say about finding something you're hunting: you always find it in the last place you loo;, and it will turn up in the location you least expect it.
Oops! That was supposed to be, "You always find it in the last place you look [not "loo;" that's gross.] And it will be found in the location you least expect it."
One friend relies on what he has dubbed, "[his family name]'s Law of Discovery: whatever you're looking for will be found under whatever other thing you've most recently spread out which is larger than [article being sought] is." In other words, if you can't find your car keys where they should be, look under the newspaper splashed across the breakfast table, or under that copy of Cosmo or Newsweek turned, open, inside text down, on the coffee table or the sofa.
Hehehehehehe. It took me a double take to realize you missed the 'k' at first. It is pretty funny if you read it as 'loo'. I know I've left keys and such in the bathroom before. ;) We actually had one of those moments about a half an hour ago with one of our spatulas! It was under the cutting board. My husband was about to snap because 'it was just here'!
