And apparently neither code will work in the default view that lj has.

So it's assumes a custom view in the first place. Workaround just isn't solving all the privacy you may want. F- Lock for the win?/shrug/

Sounding more and more like we who remember the Cold War clearly used to imagine life in the Soviet Union: Big Brother is watching you and do you know whom among your friends you can trust?

I use the internet in a way that doesn't feel relevant to my every day life, or put my life at risk. I may be poorly assessing, but I use it like I'd use a shop front window, what you want intentionally to be seen.
