I haven't had much to say. Recounting the many misadventures of my daughter has become boring and commonplace. I just spend most of my time wishing for August and Connecticut. I keep hoping that somehow misfortune will leave me alone long enough to make the move north eastward on more than a shoe string budget. I miss my mother and sister, the friends of my youth and the adventure of the future.
We had snow Friday and I messed up my car. It sits buried in the latest dump of nature awaiting drier, more conducive conditions to have some work done on it. I'm sure that will cut into my moving money.
Work is going. My supervisor is leaving us at the end of the month and the gods only know who will replace her and what sort of havoc that will bring. We had yesterday and today off due to the inclement weather. Tomorrow I have to come up with a multifunction machine by 2pm to bring to one of my VITA sites so tax returns can be printed and identification documents can be copied. The machines I have don't have cords to run to the computers, nothing is USB and I can't go to Staples to buy the cords I need. No one listened to me in November when I said we couldn't wait on this stuff. I order a machine in December but it still hasn't arrived. Bleh.
I'm going out later to take pictures of the long shadows of late afternoon on the pristine snow. Tomorrow, it's likely to be back to work... unless the roof fell in. That wouldn't surprise me.
Be good to yourselves.
