I'm at work for over 14 hours a day, so TEXT ME PLEASE. Or find me on google chat. So I bring you, efficient reccing:
xxamlaxx write a Alastair/Dean (and much more) fic for the Big Bang called
In This Hollow Valley. I'm going to break all rec rules because I helped beta read it and I've read it many many times, but I can't rec it enough. Alastair/Dean was my first SPN pairing, and this fic finally does them total justice, in all their dark glory. She creates a world where Alastair has a palace of bones, and Dean has horns. YOU GUYS. For all my friends who wanted to be Tim Curry's queen in Legend when they were young. It's visually incredible, and
melanth0 did AMAZING art for it. AMAZING. And there are scenes that are still stuck in my head months later, and probably for a long time to come. It's very different from any other SPN fic, which is a pretty big compliment after 5 incredible years of fanfic. ANYWAY, go read it.
Oooh a few weeks until Dragoncon in Atlanta! There's apparently a
Dragoncon SPN room party ??? Also, BRANDON ROUTH WILL BE THERE! I hope to bring you pictures. Possibly with Brandon Routh. But, PICTURES. While I went to the Virginia Comicon last weekend with my sister, I won tickets to the Baltimore Comicon in a raffle. That's in two weeks. My con habit is supporting myself. Soon it will become sentient. I have friends planning for the New York City Comicon in October. Hahaha, that's four different states. Score. I get 100 bonus points if I actually get a picture with Brandon Routh and me in my Robin outfit. 50 points if I just take hundreds of stalkerific pictures of his face.
Mad Men is getting my summer show love. I feel like doing a series rewatch. Because I want to stare for hours. There's so much to miss too - Jared Harris (the British boss on the show) plays the Russian guy from Happiness. I almost know that movie by heart and I just realized this.
Listening to
the Marc Marron WTF podcast at work and it's like therapy. See: Robin Williams, Maria Bamford, Patrice O'Neal episodes so far. I'm trying to watch Louis CK's new show but a half hour is too much time apparently. WTF, indeed.
