my last "good" eye

May 10, 2014 08:34

Plans for later today. My last eye that I liked from the ones I enameled recently and a bunch of the little brass rays that I had cut out for the original design for the wedding rings. I didn't mind that they became extra cause I figured someday I could use them for something else. It will be risking an eutectic reaction (soldering brass onto sterling) but I don't mind trying this time. If things go wrong during a commission it just drives me into an anxiety attack and then more and more things start to go wrong. But if things go wrong on my own things it's just "oh well..." and I try something else or I try again a different way - no sweat. Anyway - this is the funnest part for me - moving little elements around on the table and designing new things.

jewelry, fabrication, eutectic
