I had the problem again yesterday where I had an eutectic reaction when joining brass and sterling on the wedding rings - some of the brass pieces sunk down into the sterling. I will need to start all over again from the beginning. I made a promise that I will have them done by Easter and will deliver them early in the week afterwards so I need to get busy now and get them remade and done. I think I will make this set a little less thick - they might be more comfortable that way. There is such a fine balance to applying heat when soldering mixed metals. If it was all sterling the process would be much more forgiving.
