I took this picture of my little patio cafe table back in Aug of 2011 when I first got it and it was still black - as time went by it gradually got very rusty looking (no picture of that). The plan for my new kitchen next door is that I want to have a small table (instead of a full size dining room table in that small space) so I got the idea I would redo the patio table. I really don't like the table that much outside - it is burning hot on sunny summer days and it is butt freezing on even mildly cold days so it really would be best inside where it would stay room temp. For the last week I have been discouraged at the rate the move is taking place - it's pretty much at a standstill. I know I said Easy Does It was going to be my motto and it still is but it is hard to be hopeful and upbeat when nothing at all is happening with the people around me. And I must admit it's not like I am working that hard either. Maybe if I was I would be inspiring others to get moving but I'm slacking off pretty bad too. I think we all have fallen into a depression of being overwhelmed. So I just thought to cheer myself up yesterday I would do something creative instead of worrying about how little is getting done in the cleaning out and moving department. I painted the table with rustoleum metallic bronze spray paint yesterday and then today did the details with acrylic metallic colors and black in the crevasses. Even when I very first got the table I imagined that some color might improve it - so I'm pretty happy that it finally happened.
